Won one of those competitions for a brand new 2025 driver. Any idea what I should pick as a beginner of the game? I probably have a maxed handicap and am still learning a proper swing.
Won't be offended if you say I should pick a certain one and just sell it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would get the Titleist GT1 or GT2
The maxim of “If you can’t swing, buy PING” applies here. They build the most beginner-friendly clubs. The G440 will be great to learn with and will hold value.
I’d go Ping. 24 hcp
You won it so now get properly fitted for the right one. Even if you have to pay a little bit to do so.
Got a G440 Max and love it. 8 hdcp and still feel I benefit for it’s forgiveness
Ping
Go with Taylormade if you want a brand new replacement head every 4-5 months when yours explodes
Get the Ping. You will love it.
Titleist or ping.
Here’s the deal. You should really get fit to figure out what you like. If I were you, I’d go to a PGA Superstore or a Dicks Sporting goods and try all of these in the bay. Pick the one that gives you the best results. If it were me, it would be the Elyte. The robot testing on that club is insane for consistency on mishits. That said, your swing is unique to you so go to a store and hit them before you pick.
For a beginner I would get the ping g440 max. For me I would get titleist gt2
As a lifelong Taylormade fan… go with Ping. They’re so forgiving and just seem way easier somehow.
As a beginner, it’s the Ping.
Final answer.
Ping, Cobra, Elyte in that order for me
Titleist.

Not sure if you get the warranty on a driver you win vs buy, so no go on Qi35. Warranty required for those frail drivers.
Gimme the Ping.
Im not good and I hack away with a ping g435 max 10k and it instantly made me a better driver over the top flite gamer and taylormade rrbz drivers I was using before.
lol best advice I can give you go pay for a fitting.
I have a GT2, I recommend that Ping G440 Max.
If you are getting it for free you might as well go pay a fitter for a half hour to hit all 5 with different shafts and make sure you’re getting the best option.
That being said the Qi35 feels terrible and Cobra’s are either hit or miss, and this year they missed (as a King F9 GOAT driver Stan thats hard for me to say)
Ping for forgiveness, GT for distance, callaway feels pretty good off the face
I would research which one would get you the most money if you sold one brand new. Then get a fitting and use the money on whatever driver works best for you
If you plan to keep the club and you haven’t swung any of them I would get the ping. If you plan on selling the club I would get the titleist gt2 probably will get you the most return on money
I have a Ping G430 and it’s the best driver I’ve ever had in 30 years of golf
Titleist GT2
Ping or Callaway.
Ping 440, followed by the Cobra Adapt and the. The Callaway
If it were me, I’d get a Titleist GT2. Ping is the most forgiving, so if you want something that maximizes forgiveness, go with the Ping G440.
I was always a Taylormade guy but, Callaway makes better woods these days. Go for the Elyte
I got the cobra at the beginning of the year. Solid driver, but if I could go back in time I’d probably choose the ping instead
Ping g440 is the best driver, I usually carry around 270 yards and my mishits still go 250
Titleist or ping. Both are top tier compared to the others in that list. All are good drivers, but I have concerns with taylormades quality control right now
Ping G440 Max. I’m a mid-handicap and it’s the best driver I’ve hit over the last few years.
4 hcp. I had a driver fitting and Ping was the best for me.
I would go with the g440.
Ping and don’t even think about it
Ping
Ping G440
As an unabashed fan of Titleist, the answer here is Ping every day of the week and twice on Tuesdays.
Ping!
Ping all day and twice on Sunday.
I would say go to a fitting and try all of them out. That would be the best
All good choices. I’d pick the Callaway.
