The club’s two junior teams performed with incredible skill, passion, and sportsmanship on the regional stage.

Firstly the young ‘Golf Sixes’ superstars travelled to Bristol for their final fixture, bidding for an incredible third league title.
And they did not disappoint. Competing against their compatriots from Bristol & Clifton, the Kendleshire, Chipping Sodbury, and Lansdown Clubs, the Ross team had already dominated the season, winning four out of the five previous fixtures.
The Sixes League provides a platform for the club’s non-handicap juniors to test their skills in a fun, Texas Scramble format, playing six holes in teams of six.

The squad, bursting with talent and enthusiasm, was in high spirits tackling the fantastic Bristol and Clifton course.
They played their hearts out and once again topped the scoring, winning the fixture by a single point to cap off a perfect season.
There were massive congratulations to the championship-winning squad: Ruby Walker, Oli Vaughan, Elijah Largesse, George Swann, Archie James, Walter Hall, Oscar Kibble, Archie White, and Wilson Hall.

Meanwhile, Archie White and Walter Hall topped the individual team scoring with a fantastic 45 points.
Winning on the day saw the Ross superstars top the table by a significant margin, to complete an unbelievable year.
While the sixes team were making history in Bristol, the club’s older junior team was doing battle in the prestigious Mercian Junior Midlands Final at Hagley Golf Club in Birmingham.
Led throughout the season by their inspirational Junior Captain Oli Walker, his squad has played with fantastic character all season, facing strong opposition from seven other top clubs across the Midlands.

While the team from Bromsgrove was eventually crowned champions, the Ross juniors once again did the club immensely proud being represented by captain Oli Walker, Billy Walker, Aidan Evans, Ollie Evans, James Derricott, Ralphie Elliott, Harvey Gunn, Ioan Baker, Molly Baker, Freya Herbert, Isaac Vitale, Oliver Charles, and Alex Griffiths.
Club Head Professional and Junior team manager Tim Hall said: “While the trophies and titles are fantastic, what truly matters is how the juniors have played every game with smiles on their faces, in the right spirit, making friendships that will last a lifetime.
“A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved including all parents and notably assistant team managers, Dan Evans and Tom Baker.”
