Dustin Johnson and Sebastian Munoz are now tied for the lead at Live Golf Indianapolis after an exciting second round. Johnson shot a 7under par 64 to catch up to Munoz who finished the day at 4 under 67. Both golfers are now 16 under 126 through 36 holes. Munoz had an incredible opening round sinking 13 birdies in his final 14 holes for a 12 under 59. However, he struggled to replicate that magic in the second round. Johnson, on the other hand, played with precision, nearly matching his nine under 62 from the first round. It was a really solid round, Johnson said. Just took me a little while to get going, but once I did, I felt like I played really solid. You just have to hit the fairways. If you hit the fairways, you’re going to attack the course, but you still got to hit quality golf shots to get close to the hole. Munoz held the early advantage, continuing his birdie barrage with four to begin the second round and six through the front nine. However, a bogey on the 10th hole and another on 15 open the door for Johnson and the four aces. Torque GC leaves the team leaderboard at 39 under ahead of four aces GC at 36 under. Behind the duo is a six-way tie for third entering Sunday’s final round. Johnson will aim to win his fourth LIIV golf tournament event on Sunday. You just got to play from the fairway here. He said if you can play out of the fairway, you get a lot of good chances. Just as long as I drive well tomorrow, I think I’ll contend. I’m playing really solid. I’m really comfortable. So hopefully it will be a good day and a good fight. Get a chance to win coming down to the last few holes. Do you think Johnson has what it takes to win his fourth LIIV golf tournament event?
