OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. – The Belmont women’s golf team is in sixth place after the two rounds of The Robbie held this weekend at RTJ Trail at Hampton Cove in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.
Belmont carded a second round 300 to finish the day in sixth at 600. Georgia has the team lead at 563, with Lipscomb in second at 580.
Two Bruins are among the top-20 after 36 holes. Graduate student Chloe Tarkany shot an one under par 71 on Saturday to remain in a tie for fifth place at 143. She is six back of the individual leader, Georgia’s Maria Garcia (137).
Sophomore Sloane Biddle shot a 73 on Saturday to move up to a tie for 20th place at 149.
Other Belmont scores from day one included: junior Paige Hammarstrom (T-25, 152) sophomore Sophie Skoog (T-39, 158), and freshman Lauren Davis (T-39, 158).
Sophomore Emilee Swagger, competing as an individual, shot a career best three-under par 69, to move up to 56th place at 159.
