CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – UIndy alum Pilar Echeverria was announced Friday as one half the 2025 Women’s Golf Coaches Association Players Hall of Fame induction class. Joined by former University of Arkansas standout Maria Fassi, the two record-setting golfers will be the 90th and 91st members of the WGCA’s Hall. The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place Monday, Dec. 8 at Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas.

EcheverriaEcheverria completed her five-year career at University of Indianapolis as the most successful golfer in the school’s history. She was a two-time PING WGCA Player of the Year, five-time WGCA First-Team All-American, and a four-time Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year. She collected a school-record 18 tournament wins, including three consecutive NCAA Regional Championship titles, and holds the program record in both lowest career scoring average (73.09) and lowest single season scoring average (71.56). Echeverria helped lead the Greyhounds to four straight GLVC Championship titles, three NCAA Regional Championship titles, and one NCAA Championship title.
