Nicki Minaj appears to be pleased that Donald Trump’s granddaughter, 18-year-old Kai Trump, participated in a TikTok trend that involves the rapper’s music.
The young Trump shared a video of herself and her friend Emma Markin dancing and rapping along to a mash-up of Minaj’s 2012 single “Beez in the Trap” and Linda Perry’s “What’s Up.”
Recorded in what appears to be a classroom, the clip shows Trump wearing a University of Miami sweatshirt. The high school senior has committed to playing golf at the Florida school next year and will play at the LPGA Tour in November.
The TikTok video eventually reached Minaj, who reposted it on X. She added three emojis, including a laughing emoji and a heart emoji.
Earlier this month, Minaj seemingly praised the president.
“Flattering photos are allowed to be posted of me again. Thanks, POTUS,” she wrote. “Epiphany had politicians thinking she would lead them to a victory. Had Live Nation thinking she knew her shit. lol. How much money did VP Harris have stacked up for her campaign, again? Yikes.”
In 2016, during Trump’s first presidential election campaign, Minaj dedicated a performance of “Anaconda” to Trump and Joe Biden.
“I’m very political, and I would like to dedicate a song, just in the spirit of unity, to Joe Biden and Donald Trump,” she said at the time, per The Hollywood Reporter. “Do you think they like that song? Who do you think likes the biggest butts, Donald Trump or Joe Biden?”
Minaj has been on a war path recently, getting into online spats with all sorts of people. Most recently, she got into it with Gucci Mane’s wife, Keyshia Ka’Oir, accusing her of controlling the Atlanta rapper.
The Pink Friday artist has also been relentlessly trolling Jay-Z, tweeting nonstop about his alleged attempts to blackball her. She’s also renewed her Cardi B beef, which was resurrected shortly after the release of Cardi’s latest album, Am I the Drama?
