Sydney riders will be able to enjoy a new network of bike paths and community recreation spaces following the transformation of 20 hectares of Moore Park Golf Course into a public park.

Over the next three years, the New South Wales Government will establish the new park, featuring extensive riding and walking paths and trails, sports courts, a community sports field, picnic areas and more.

The existing golf course will be reconfigured to encompass a minimum 9-hole golf course, expanded driving range and 18-hole mini golf course.

The draft plan was created in response to a 2024 consultation with park users, community and sporting groups, councils and government agencies on their vision for the park.

The state government has committed $50 million to establishing the park, a process which will begin after the current operating agreement expires in mid-2026.

Community members can view the draft Moore Park South Establishment Plan and provide feedback until 11.59pm on Monday 24 November 2025 at the link here.
