What's ironic about this is that, given comments I've seen and heard from both, I think they have a lot of similar viewpoints outside the ring. But they just can't stand each other or see things the same way when it comes to inside the ring.

To me Cornette's criticisms of Steen (Generico as well) are valid. Steen looked sloppy. Was always a very good worker, but just had a sloppy look. He cleaned up his gear and trimmed down. Look how much better his career has went. Same with Generico, another great worker, but a silly gimmick. As Sami Zayn, he's evolved to much more of a well rounded performer.
It's the same reason why KO hates Punk ???
