Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent DIY project: turning my garage into a budget-friendly golf simulator setup. I’ll be posting some pictures separately, but here are the main components and costs:
1. Launch Monitor: I went with a Garmin R10, which I snagged on Amazon for about $459. It’s definitely been a solid choice for the price.
2. Range Cage/Net: I picked up a more affordable knock-off version of a golf net cage for around $260, also from Amazon. It’s doing the trick so far!
3. Hitting Mat: This was about $108 on Amazon. Some folks suggested a thicker mat, but this one’s working fine for me so far.
4. Projector: I already had a super budget projector lying around, cost me about $35 originally. It’s not fancy, but it does the job.
5. Computer: I’m using my ASUS ROG laptop to run the simulator software. That was something I already had, so no extra cost there.
And that’s pretty much it for the main components! All in all, it’s been a fun and relatively affordable project to put together. Feel free to ask any questions if you’re curious about details!

You need to put some exercise puzzle mats under that hitting mat. The thicker the better. Trust me you will fuck up your elbows/wrists. You’ll be swinging the club much more frequently now and this is very important.
What’s the height on your garage?
