KAILUA-KONA, Hawai’i – The University of Hawai’i women’s golf team completed the Nanea Invitational with a 915 total following Wednesday’s final round 309 at the Nanea Golf Club.
 
The Rainbow Wahine closed out their fall schedule with an 11th place finish. Host Stanford posted a 269 to run away with the team title at 44-under 832, 19 strokes better than runner-up Arizona State (851).
 
UH’s top finisher was freshman Chloe Ku, who totaled 7-over 226 total and tie for 44th place. The San Ramon, Calif., native concluded the tournament with a final round 81. Jasmine Wong was one stroke back at 227 after a 1-over 74, her best round of the tournament, to finish in 46th place.
 
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were Emiko Sverduk (78=231, t-54th), Maline Kraus (76=233; 56th), and Sofina Firouzi (83=243; 59th).
 
There was a three-way tie for medalist honors between Auburn’s Anna Davis, Stanford’s Meja Örtengren, and Texas’ Cindy Hsu, who all finished 10-under 209. Örtengren posted the low round of the day at 7-under 66.
 
The tournament concluded the fall season for the Rainbow Wahine, who will next compete in the Alice and John Wallace Classic, Feb. 14-16 in Palm Desert, Calif.
