on the team from the USA, Scotty Sheffler. Let’s go. Well, nearly a deeper start, but it’s okay now. And off he goes, walking past that silver claret jug that he hopes will be his in about 5 hours time. The world number one, the leader is underway. Good line in the semi- rough and a great angle. [Music] Oh again that you see it time and time getting the distance control and now the direction is perfect. Oh Scotty, what a start. What a statement. Behold my greatness. Scotty Shler hitting this within the tapping range is just incredible. the best shot we’ve seen all day on the first hole. There’s a reason he’s in front. So there we are. Opening birdie for Scottish. It’s a bit of a stunner for the rest of the the field. They won’t know that. They’ll see a go on the board in the not too distant future. Ouch. I think he can’t carry that left bunker. He’s sort of playing a little bit into the breeze. 308 for How Tong. They don’t have the firepower of Rory. Find the fairway. You you probably make a birdie four. So I like this play for both players. Light the candles. Very good. He’s been lighting the candle all week. More candles he can light. Run out of candles. sit. Ask it to sit. Not entirely sure why it did sit down. See the big broad soul of the driving iron short on the up slope. This needs to be spot on to get this close. This is extremely difficult. No choice but to bump it. Don’t blame him there. That wasn’t easy at all. [Music] [Applause] there. She chef small little one for par. He’s five ahead now. It’s a big lead for somebody that good. Constantly works on pinh high to give him the best putt available. That’s a brilliant golf shot. It’s truly exceptional. Chalk up the par. Move on. Always good in Scotty’s world. Amazing atmosphere out here. Should be cutting this off those bunkers using the breeze. [Music] It’s coming in line with them bunkers. Oh, he just misses it by a step. I can see you with your head in your arms and your hands to David. Aiming well left. Fading it back towards his flag. It’s perfect golf. [Applause] Well, he said he was excited for the challenge of Sunday. He’s been up to the challenge so far. Two under over the first four holes of this final day. First person we’ve seen all week play a genuine layup shot. I would suggest just goes about things slightly differently. She perfect angle of the flag [Music] and Sheffller for his birdie. [Music] Absolute masterass. He gets to 17 under par and it’s now an eight shot lead for Sheffller at Port Rush. Scotty, he took it off. Kick backward. Took it off. How did that happen? What happened? Right here backwards. [Music] Last 30 holes. Bogey free. I can’t quite believe it. What a beautiful P. Unbelievable. I have to say it’s got to be 18 20 ft right in the center of the cup, but he just wants to keep the pressure on. He doesn’t let anybody to get through the door. It’s the first time I’ve seen him react with any sort of gusto this week. Get in there, you beauty. [Applause] Well, that’s not a big target that bunker. It’s exactly what he found. That’s a splash out from there. Wow. Just don’t make a mistake is the order of the day here for Sheffller. Get it out. Take your medicine. Heard a little bit of ball as well there. So he managed to get some good forward momentum up the hill on seven. Quickly back to Scotty Sheffller. Oh, Scott tickle off that back edge. Scotty prowling round. That’s just impossible. Well, it’s not possible that he’s done it, but it seems impossible. Fantastic. 32 holes without a bogey. I thought, “Oh, surely he’s going to make one here.” Oh gosh dang it. Get rid of it. Sprayed them in this hole. Hasn’t felt comfortable into the sand again. You see went left of that fairway a couple of times before. Yeah. So, just a couple of glimpses for the the chasing pack, but every time he’s been in bother. Six and seven so far. Sheffield gets himself out of trouble, but in the sand again on the eighth. Wow, that seemed unnecessarily aggressive there. I mean, you could tell the conversation between player and Caddy. He was trying to he was trying to get that front edge. You ask yourself why, but he’s walking on water. Whatever he does, he seems to manage muster a par. This time it is a splash out semi sideways. Yeah, I didn’t see it. No need really. Such a great wedge player. Yes, it’s a tricky flag, but he’s not the end of the world. He’s still going to do this now. This won’t be going very far. [Music] That’s what he should have done. Just take your medicine. [Music] Yeah, very useful. gets himself a chance and has been so good from that range there. Should do a little bit at the end is one slips by like to hear too many cries of yes when that happens but uh double bogey for Scottish airflow. Last bogey was in the 11th hole in the second round. Double bogey now. Fourshot lead from Chris Got seems to have lied down a little bit. It’s not as strong as when we started. It’s a certainly a scorable back nine. Drifting towards that bunker. It was but beyond it. Yeah, that’ll steady. I mean, his mind will be racing a little bit after that double. Got a great chance for a three. Now looking straight at this, I can’t see this being any more than 15 ft. Beautiful angle. Oh, what a what a shot. Back to business for Scottish. Bump in the roads on the eighth hole. Smooth passage again. Burgley to close out his front nine five shot lead. This is the guy they’re chasing. Go with driver suits the count here. Start this left and bleed it. Perfect. [Applause] Hard bounce. You’ll be able to see right down the throat of the 10th green from there. Start that little fade down the left semi. And you can see he just loves to rotate hard left to gets these feet moving. And right down the throat of the green. The bit of green here is only 10 yards wide and gathers from both sides. [Applause] Just a sense that was just getting away. [Applause] He’s hated this T-shot with the left to right wind today. Very different. And that was quite a work of art that swing of abstract painting. in the first cup, but looks like a tight part of the first cup. Clean lie. Should be able to control the spin well here. He’s looking up and down. [Music] Talk about the margins and just a few inches away from where Matt Fitzpatrick finished, but he just went down into the gathering area. Just a hair left to right. Not much in this. [Applause] Well, that is five. [Applause] Threewood. Bunker avoidance. The plan. [Music] executed perfectly. Golfing IQ off the Victor scale. Trying to run this one in cuz it’s somewhere close to the front. That’ll do. Absolutely. [Applause] It’s an excellent shot. Is it then dead? No. Is it troubling off down over the other side? No. Of course he can. Well, they flap and they flail around beneath him trying to get closer, but he sails serenely above it all. Once more that lead out to five shots and another hole down. Yeah, it looks like that was a change from like a little cuddy seven to that was a big eight by the looks of things. Wow. Just covers the front bunker there. Steeply downhill to the flag. Well, didn’t have a yard to spare. You need the skill. You need a little bit of fortune. just creeps over. All eyes on this man. [Music] He was a little surprised there. Yes. Sorry, Andrew. Kind of a steep green from front to back. He was probably feeling the undulation from that bunker that he just covered with his T-shot, expecting that ball to move more to the left. Big T-shot 14 driver. Let’s go. Look at the crowds behind the tea. He come other load noises. Beauty again. Like Wally just said, you know, there’s not a lot of difficult shots left. That was one of the real testing shots that he had left. Takes two good shots. [Music] Little ridge in the green and pitches it straight into it. Commercial shot I would say. Can’t go long. Can’t go left really. Bit of room on the right today with the left pin. Yeah, if you’re going to miss it somewhere on this green, that’s a good spot to be just coming up and over. It’s just flattening along the hole. Just kind of continuing to do what he needs to do. 14 is always going to be one of those tougher questions on the exam paper coming in, but safely navigated. [Applause] [Applause] Shakes it left to right. Fairway right to left and yet still he finds it. Beautiful. Just got it. 15 ft left. Like 14 15 just constantly leaving in the right spot. She chef keeping the pressure down to next to nothing. Left or right? No stress. [Applause] [Applause] Great shot. They cry. He’s done it again. Brilliant Thursday. on Friday and Saturday for another two shifts in the most infamous hole on the golf course. Not this time. [Applause] [Applause] How’s that ball looking, Wally? Yeah, it’s good. It’s absolutely fine. It’s a thick line with you. You all right? Yeah. That bunker left, but again, he does it. There’s been a feel about Scottish Sheffller this week. Little up the hill for Scottish Sheffller. Simp. What a setting. What a sight. Seagull circling above in the thousands around this hole. And one final T-OT straight and true for Scottish Sheffller. If you had five or six to win, this would be a t-shirt you wouldn’t mind. Shakes the fairway down the left side. misses the divot. The stage is set. The coliseum’s full of people. [Applause] And again, look at it. Picking up pin high. One of the greatest scenes in golf, the 18th hold, the open championship as the crowds kind of flock around, circle the green. [Applause] Will quickly turn to cheers. The champion golfer, Scottish. He felt in his career and he certainly felt today it was only a matter of time before he claimed the greatest prize in golf. The winner of the gold medal and the champion golfer of the year, Scotty Sheffller. It’s a simple announcement for the greatest prize. Scottish becomes the champion golfer.

I was literally looking for Scottie highlights from the open the other day… thank you 👍
I just remember laughing after he hit his approach on the first thinking “yeah it’s done” lol
About time this video came out. Thanks for uploading this bound to be classic.
I’ve never seen anyone give less fucks about being one of the best to do it. It seems like it’s a burden for Scotty to be this good.
Excellent performance buddy! Keep trusting and serving the Lord. More trophies will follow. Congrats and God bless!
Thanks for the highlights. Incredible performance
British fans are kinda… dull. Cheer MF’s wtf, you got the world #1 giving a freaking clinic and all he can get is some polite little golf claps? Come on, show a little passion! Don’t go all Ryder Cup on it, but dang I mean give the guy SOMETHING.
