The NSL Nations Cup is the World Cup of airsoft. There’s nine different teams here representing their countries and they’re battling out to see who is the best team on planet Earth. And I’m going to show you what it’s like to play as I’m here with the returning champions, Team USA. Wa! That is crazy. That is actually Matt the gym rat. 4 seconds left. 3 2 1 We’re going to shootouts, boys. But there’s one problem. and that’s that I’ve never played airsoft before. I’m actually a paintball player and they brought me out here to play this tournament. So, I’ve got today to catch up on practice and get my feet under me as there is a lot of weight on the shoulders of the returning champions. And with me coming all the way out to the Netherlands to play at the iconic Real Strike Arena, what better way to get acclimated to this new sport than playing some 1v ones against literally the best players on planet Earth. [Music] Oh, my magazine fell out. [Applause] My magazine fell out. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Now that I got the hang of things, it was time to get into the real practice with some five on fives. [Music] That’s it. Tuesday. The practice against Canada was going well, but I got asked the question if I wanted to run a pistol. And well, I couldn’t pass up this opportunity. I’ll say get off theing ground. Show me your hand. Am I going to miss every shot? Probably. Heard. Oh, they got a laner over here. Oh, you got me home. Go. All right, I got my one kill. You get it back. As practice winded down, we called a night and got back to the house where we sat down and got to chat for the first time about the plan for this tournament. We’re here for a job and that’s bring home home gold. So, if it’s the same five all day playing or if it’s the guy loan mags, everybody’s got a job. All the stuff going on right now. Stay focused. But after all that, we had a little surprise waiting for us. All right. Well, we got what we needed to Yeah. Think of it as one headband, two pieces. So, hopefully tonight we figure out the gear and like our process of getting everything over there. We got all the gear we were going to be using this event. And the guys were excited. But with me being new, I needed a breakdown on it all. Therefore, I got some of the guys to break down everything I needed to know about this gear before the tournament. I’ve got Levi here, but he’s going to break down the gun for us. This weekend, we’re going to be sponsored with Vinci. This is the brand new V2 that uh Theo came out with. Break down the parts of the gun that like make this thing work. Sure. Yeah. This is uh this is what we call a tracer. What they what they do is they allow the BBs that are coming out of your barrel to glow really bright green. So these allow us to kind of see where our ammunition is going and where we’re aiming and for the refs to see if people are getting hit. All right. And then you just you just talked about So let’s go down to that is the ammo. So you have a magazine that goes into a mag well and it feeds the ammunition up into the hopup. This device right inside here is a is what’s called a hopup where you can adjust your hop. And basically what that does, it puts a backspin on the BB so the BB travels in a straight line for further or if you turn it like up all the way and you have a lot of hop, it’ll curve up. So So I guess that’s the last thing, right? Is like that I was still using the tank that I use from Paintball. Now granted I have the biggest tank out here, but the tank that I am using is actually from the sponsor for today’s video, JT Paintball. This is the Ultra Air System tank from JT. Okay, so now I’m here with my my friend Colin, aka Klondike. This is Codex. He’s going to break down the pistol cuz he is the main pistol player on the team. Yeah. So, the pistol is going to be a bit different from the rifle. You can see here we have this little line, and this attaches to a hose that goes down into our belt and connects to our tank. So, this tracer, we like to keep it nice and small because we play in a lot of tight spaces. We don’t want anything sticking out any longer than we have to. And then besides that, like you showed it earlier, but it’s got a magazine adapter on the bottom. And then those magazines, they actually store like y’all, you see me use pod packs, but they actually have their own. And what do y’all call this? So this is the Vinci belt. We have just normal mag pouches. And as we’re playing, we just pull it out, reload. Nice and simple. All this put together, still playing. The rules are very different to this type of airsoft than it is from like the paintball that you see me play or any other typical airsoft. So, let’s break down the rules real quick. So, I have Jake here. He is one of the other pistol players on the team. He’s also known as Mudkip is his new nickname that we gave him. He’s going to break down the rules for us. Like I was saying, the NSL format is different. It’s a little in-depth. The Europeans kind of made it like American football. 15-minute games. Start of the game, meet at the center of the field, there’s a coin flip. If you win the coin toss, you’re going to pick if you’re offense or defense, which means you will be taking the flag with you to your breakout wall. So, you have your three tries on offense. So, on your first attempt, if you hit the opposing team’s wall with the flag, it’s going to be 12 points. On your second, it’s going to be 11. And then on your third, it’s going to be 10. On any try that you get the hang, you get a chance of a extra point, which is two extra points, but it’s a one v one. So you have 30 seconds to get down the field, hang the flag. You can also score by their zones. So once you cross the 50 yd line, there’s about 5 yards for zone one, which is just one point. Then maybe, you know, 7 yardds for zone 2 after that. Zone 3 is going to be the biggest portion of zone. And then that pretty much goes, you know, from zone 2 all the way to the breakout wall. Got both teams in their death tunnels have buzzers. Once the last person on the opposing team dies, they’re going to hit that buzzer. Once that buzzer is hit, there’s it allows us 3 seconds to get that flag as far down the field as possible. While that’s all happening, you get shot, you have to drop the flag immediately. And once it’s dropped, you know, if my teammate picks it up, he can, you know, progress it further down the field as well. But on top of that, the enemy is trying to grab that flag. If the opposing team grabs the flag, it flips the possession. We call it a snatch. As soon as you start with the flag, there’s going to be a 1 minute timer. And then when it gets down to 10 seconds, it’s going to say feet. At 5 seconds, it’s going to say weapons. One foot has to touch the wall. Inside the breakout lines, your barrel of your gun also has to touch the wall. And then horn goes off. The reigning champs, USA versus Czech Republic, open back. NSL25. My name is Al Kodak in position to score and he’s running for it. And another hang for Kodak one side for sure. Hey London Monday. Hey 53. Oh, a very aggressive US team showing exactly why they are the reigning champs. And now Kodak has all the time in the world. He’s counting down. Ah, cheeky bastard. And that’s another hang for the US. That was a scary looking push. A hot start. We were in the driver’s seat and it was my time to step on the field. But with this being my first point ever in airsoft, I would be lying if I didn’t say I was a little bit nervous. Hey, hey, London. Hey, London, China. London, China. London, China. They lose two. Unfortunately, their entire snake side has fallen. Now, Czech Republic is slowly moving up. And the last one, last one is left. Rossi needs to run with me finding out that I’m good at headbutting BBs. Czech was able to put up their first points of the match. But luckily, I was in good hands. Hey, [Music] and once again, we can see Kodak having all the time in the world. And another hang for the US. The Team USA guys had a good handle on the match. So much so that they even gave me a gift. My first flag hangers [Music] rule applied. Oh, I’m I’m so used to getting a check from the ref after I hit it. US looking terrifying. Hey guys, Gavin Day here from Team USA. Just got done with game one against the Czech Republic. We beat them 49 to 14, giving them a mercy rule. We got a lot of things to work on and improve going into game two against Germany here in about 30 minutes. However, this match would not be like the last one. Germany came in with a grudge, and that’s because Team USA had knocked them out last year in the semifinals. And it showed as they gave us our first loss of the tournament, 18-2. But it was okay because we have eight of these prelim matches. So we had plenty of time to get back on track. And we were looking to do exactly that in our last prelim match of the day against Canada. US breakout shooter on the side of the US. Hey, I’m here. Snake. Snake. Hey, we lost CJ. Hey. Hey. Please. 23. Sweeny shooting one. I’m fine shooting down the next one. Sees a flag, makes the jump and Sweeny gets the snatch. [Music] Oh, they’re actually getting completely attacked from the snake side. I got I got I got I got the flag and Gavin Bay with a flag hanging side. Oh, and he got him. And Gavin Day getting a snatch. snatching machine. [Applause] Hard to get that angle on. Bre pushing up in the sneak far. That is one hell of a push move and a hang by the US. Get him out. It’s a beautiful shooting. Number 28, Big J. Hey, Kodak. Big J supporting Kodak. Get out. Kodak already saw the flag and Kodak is just on point. And I got to give props to number 28 Big J. With us having a sizable lead now, it was my time to get back in. But after my last showing, I was determined to have things change. Get out of here. Yeah. Tuesday. Tuesday. I’m here with you, Tuesday. He really wants it. And he got it. He got a snatch. Win. The buzzer went and he’s running for it. And a Hey by Kodak. What is up with Kodak? This is absolutely nuts. With that hang, we put the score to 51 to 18. And all we had to do was hold off the last of Canada’s push. You’re lucky I don’t play airsoft. I don’t think he’s playing airsoft anymore. He might be playing. Hey, London. London. And we ended day one on a win. But being all the way in the Netherlands, me and Will decided to celebrate by going out and exploring the Dutch countryside. Hello, beautiful people, and welcome back to the second day of the NSL Nation Cup 2025. We’re about to start with the first heat, Romania versus the USA. Our next three prelim matches were today, and the first one was against Romania. But these guys put up a bigger fight than we had anticipated. Therefore, we had to put our best effort forward to squeak out an 18-5 win. Congratulations to the USA. Beautiful performance. Kept their composure. Belgium was our next match and these guys were dialed in. But we had no juice after the Romania match. So, Belgium took the momentum and ran with it. Mercy ruling us 37 to1. And Belgium proving victorious over the reigning champs USA. And with that, we had one match left and it was against South Africa. I was excited and it was because I was getting my first start at the Nation’s Cup. But my energy was nothing compared to the South Africa guys. Ready to start running. Equally excited for this South Africa versus USA game. You have double freedom. Freedom Kodak. I’m right here with you. Freedom. Texas. Hey, we lost another. We lost another. Hey, TJ back up here. TJ back here. Oh, he shot both of them in the snake as well. Going for it. First round was less than ideal, but I was determined not to let that define the rest of the match. Therefore, it was time to lock in. Hey, one way. Hey, red alert. Tuesday getting shot up. Hey, Wednesday is creeping through that snake. Extra careful right now. for last beacon. Big Jay is looking for the flag. Oh, what are they doing for it? And he got it. Hey, kill. Kill 144. 44. You missed me. That was quite chaotic. Things were going so well. I even got to carry the flag. And well, the rest is history. No, no, not that. Oh, that is crazy. That is actually Matt the gym rat. But you know what they say, with every up is a down. Matt the gym rat has got a firstderee no call. I had gotten into my first penalty trouble of the tournament and they gave me a first-degree penalty for a no call which meant that we had to start down the next three rounds with two players left. And it was because the referee thought I got shot in the head and didn’t call it. And in reality it was a ricochet. But I couldn’t argue about it. And even after I had served my time my luck wouldn’t change. I’m dead. [Music] Actually getting pulled by the referee. Player 54 first three. I’m not going to lie, I’m getting a little bit sick in my stomach from these penalties. While I was getting penalties for not shooting my gun correctly, well, the other guys on the team, they had my back. Oh, one, two, [Music] cat. What a crazy sneak as well. And a snatch. This is like the third time he does this. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Come on. Come on. New York. Hey, look at me. Look at me. He said, get out forth and a hang by USA. We are the best team in the [ __ ] building, bro. It doesn’t matter who we’re playing. That is how you respond. Okay, there’s no rush to talk about today. Everybody needs to be compressed on their own time and be happy that we walked out of this day 21 because it was looking real bleak. After that win, we decided to celebrate by enjoying some local Dutch cuisine. We’re trying the Mc Croette. Bottoms up. It kind of tastes like deep fried gravy. A chili chicken. I think this is just sweet and sour sauce. Yeah. Last thing, the Mick wrap. It is Mick huge is what it is. He is bottoms up. It tastes like a small child made this, which is very possible. And after that underwhelming celebration, we called it for day two. Day three yesterday went okay, but I’m two majors deep or two two penalties deep. So, I got that off my shoulder. That was a ricochet. But besides that, dude, got the Netherlands, which was who they played in the finals last year. So, a little grudge match. Saying that, Australia is the first match of the day. So, let’s go. Hello everyone and welcome back to the NSL Nations Cup 2025 day number three. My name is Adi. As always, I will be your host and joining me, it’s cringe, guys. So, uh last year was playing on team USA. Really excited for this game, USA versus Australia. USA is still serving uh a firstdegree penalty for overshooting and they have two rounds to serve in. Australia came out strong and they would get a hang on their first round, but they got called for a penalty. First degree no call on Australia. Therefore, the points got taken away and we were given the flag. That meant it was time to lock in three it looks like. And they just go for the flag. GG. We were able to hang the flag, but in the extra point try, something happened that changed the entire vibe. Not lose it. I I’ll admit, you know, that was pretty nasty the way he shot him that close in the back of the head. After that, well, I’ll show you. I took the momentum there. Snake. Ooh. Shoots him out and he’s going for it. Oh, and you pair that with the multiple penalties we got. number seven from USA might have gotten hit. So, the USA player did get a penalty. So much so that we only had one player on the field for several rounds and Australia unforgivingly took advantage of it. They know where the flag is, right? So, we get it. [Music] I’m not really saying anything because it’s kind of painful for me to watch. Kodak doesn’t have any ammo left. He gets shot out and Australia get the flag hang Australia. Australia’s pressing the Dorito side. Wow. Disrespect. Shot one ball execution style in the back of his head. The match had finished and we had lost the Australians 19 to 26. But our struggles wouldn’t stop there. We had the Netherlands next. And these guys would come out swinging. We would get into some penalty trouble again and the Netherlands took full advantage of it. But even with us making a huge push to come back, it wasn’t enough. And we ended day three on that loss. I got next to me here, Gavin D. How are you doing, Swinnie? I’m doing all right. You know, tough loss right there. Right now, the opinions of a lot of spectators are divided. There’s one portion of the people saying like the US has not yet fully found their groove yet, but there’s the other side of people that think like [ __ ] How do I feel? Uh, no comment on the two different sides, but I got to say Sunday is a completely different tournament. And welcome back to the NSL Nations Cup 2025, the final day of this magnificent tournament. We are in the quarterfinals. It’s all or nothing because if you lose this, that’s end of story for your team. You’re going home. If you win, then you go to the semi-finals and you have a chance at that grand prize. We’re in the trenches right now. Sunday, we are about to play Australia. That determines who goes home, who moves on to the semis. We’re all going to come together, talk about the game, talk about the game plan, about the stuff we spoke about last night and today, and uh bring it all together before we go out there. And while the guys were getting ready, my Sunday was going to look a little different. I guess the reality of it is is that I haven’t played this much. So despite how good I might be out there, I still don’t have the mindset for this format. So I’m taking a step back and I knew that coming in, but I’m out there helping because they’re not used to scouting like paintball scouts. So they’re coming to me for a lot of information and the boys are feeling good. So let’s go win this one. And I had a whole scouting report for the match against Australia. So the boys knew exactly what to do. But these guys had left a bad taste in our mouth the day before when they had beaten us. So the boys came out ready to fight. Let’s go, baby. Hey, family on me. Family on three. 1 2 3. We have really exciting heats lined up for you. The rematch of Australia versus the USA. Yesterday, Australia proving to be victorious. Freedom. Freedom. Echo. Kill the South. Wednesday. Kill the New York. I got it. Dude, this is a completely different USA from yesterday. The enemy for territory for looking for the flag. They got a beautiful snatch on it. Monday right now. Damn, sweetie. Getting [Music] [Applause] [Music] shot up. [Music] touch the wall. And he goes the wall. Got it in time. That was beautifully done as well by Mudcad. 3 minutes left on the clock. And with that snatch, we got the possession back, but there was only 3 minutes left, so we had to make something happen. And it had to happen soon. [Applause] I feel like the last position around the side problems on problems on problems on problems I solve them I run through the money depression be calling on my blessings I feel like I’m falling is back tell me I’m garbage I’m going through something that’s why I ain’t calling progression I wanted affection I summon [Music] looking at the time one zero and that’s end game. Congratulations to Team USA for once again showing everyone that they are a Sunday team. With that win, we’re moving on to the semi-finals where we were playing the Netherlands. And with this determining who was going to play the finals, both of us did not want to lose. But the match that came next was the most nailbiting match of the entire weekend. The Netherlands score there. They took a 21point lead and we were sitting very far behind, but with 3 minutes left, we weren’t out yet. Had to get closer. Oh, and it got shot out. Who is in that snake, man? Is that Is that Kodak or is that Bread? That’s bread. Oh, Brett doing bread things. Kodak getting in the position to score. Ooh, just getting one getting eliminated by by the second one. Kodak’s running for it. There we go. That’s a hang and that’s the hang by Kodak. Yeah. So, first snatch 45 seconds and then there will be like a minute left to then make that final play. The tension is rising. The USA needs to get moving. 45 seconds. That’s how long this round needs to last. Oh, and once again, DJ’s in that snake. We’re doing a shout out. We also lose Smash Shark and Sweeney. Yes, we got it. We did it. We got it. That means 47 seconds left in a mistake. It’s a three versus three. Exposing anything. They’re going for it. They’re going for it. USG crazy USA. That is absolutely crazy. With that flag hanging, the score was 23-21 and we had the lead. However, there was still 8 seconds left on the clock. Therefore, all we had to do was hold off the Netherlands and we would take the win and go on to the finals. Now, let’s see what happens. 8 seconds just already in the 50 line. 4 seconds left. 3 2 1 Good pass through it. With the Netherlands getting that zone two, they put the two points up on the board they needed to tie the match and that meant we were going in overtime. However, overtime in this league means shootouts. Therefore, we had to pick five players to play 1v ones against the Netherlands other five players. And whichever player successfully attacks and defends backto back wins the match for their team. However, you only have 30 seconds per round. Therefore, if we wanted to play in the finals, this was our last chance and we had no room for error. Oh, so the first one that they’ve picked is actually abstract on the side of the US. Right. Rough. Let’s lock in. Just 17 seconds left. Jesse pushing on the D1. A very known attack route. Oh, and he got him. Oh, as he was reloading. Oh, Jesse. And he got the hang. Oh, Jesse. My lord. He’s doing what you said. Yes. Oh, and he got him. There you go. Very nice. Big dog. Big dogs against Jerger. Those players still at home. Jerger making his way a little bit more down the middle. And that is a victory for the Netherlands after a shootout. was super harding to see the USA go home with fourth place. I really really enjoyed everything that the US did. They were trying to find them find themselves. I’m extremely proud to do this and I will do it again next year with all the same people if you guys want to come back.
