These are my $5,000 golf clubs. And these are $250 Teimu starter set golf clubs that about 6 months ago we went on a journey to find the cheapest golf clubs that actually work still pretty well. And in a match where Ash used these verse me when I use my $5,000 clubs, I beat them. So today we are back and this time I get to use my $5,000 set and John is stuck with a $250 set. So today we’re figuring out is it the clubs that make the difference or is it the players? So, we bought this thing again about 6 months ago for like 250 bucks and we used it. Ash used it last time. How’d it feel last time you used them? I feel like I remember them being pretty forgiving cuz they’ve got those massive soles. Even forgiving off the cement. The cement. Yeah, the cement was That was tough. Might have been right. John, yeah, not much room for error there. We’re looking at the set here. We have 12 clubs starting with a 56°ree and a pitching wedge. Those are the two wedges you’re going to get in here. And then when you’re looking at the irons, you have nine all the way down to a five iron. You have a three-wood here, which I remember these. They look pretty good. And how did the woods feel? Do you remember? I remember. I like the woods. I can vividly remember. I want to say it was the second or third hole. I strike one right down the middle. Oh, you have actually 13 clubs in here. I missed a hybrid. Four hybrid. And then you have the driver here. So, you got 13 clubs to work with. A lot of use. I’d say the only thing not in here that I would like to see would be like four irons. And then finally, you got the putter, a blade putter, which is not my forte, but we’re gonna be working with this thing today as I use this $200 starter set and make do with it. Okay, the wedges are pure. All right, well, I’m going have a long day today. That’s all I need with the wedge. There’s definitely not much difference there. I just want to see how whippy the drivers are and then I guess I’m going to swing a seven iron. I think it is important to note that John has never, even since starting playing golf, liked uh thick soles. It’s so thick when you look down at it. Yeah, you can see that sole almost digging into the ground before you make contact. That play sounds like a baseball bat. I’m going to do one more then I’m good. Like I’m hitting these things pretty good. Like you can use these things even if you’re not a beginner. Can I be dashing with these $250 starter Teeu clubs? We shall see. Feel pretty good. All right. PGM driver. Whatever PGM means. That must be the Teeu brand. There’s a 25x price difference here. Just for some context. And let’s see if that makes a difference. You mind if I go first? I think we have come to the conclusion in the last two days that you can swing any driver you are given. That felt actually good. It was a little towy, but that still flew probably 280. Dude, the sound is crazy. Sounds a little wild, but that was straighter than an arrow. All right, I I have no excuse here. If I lose, I’m just a bad golfer. That’s the same line. So, I’ll be curious to see how much further I caught that a little low on the face. So, there’s a very good chance that’s behind, but I don’t know. How did you catch yours? Good. I caught it a little towy, but I think that will show us how much further those go. And we are off. Starter set versus the Callaway golf clubs that obviously I use. I gain. Yeah, I think uh honestly I’m I’m really just thinking about pace right now. I’m not worried too much about a stroke because when I start thinking about a stroke with a blade, it’s gonna mess me up. There aren’t any rules against you using the timu club. Yeah, that was a good lip out there. That was a full 90°. Do you think it’s the clubs or the player that makes the difference on the course? Both. Do you think these would be suitable for a beginner? Oh, yeah, for sure. These definitely would work for a beginner. If I’m using them, okay, and they feel okay to me, they definitely could feel okay for a starter. Like, what handicap do you think realistically should start with these? I say once you get down to like a 15, maybe 10, you switch off of these, but that takes a while for most people to get down that low. So, and then do you think the next step is after those? Do you think it’s to go get fitted? Probably. I I think you can start getting fitted once you hit that 13 to 12 handicap zone. Yeah, I think so. All right. Two over to even par. Yep. No driver here. Hole number four. No. This normally you would see me just bombing driver, but stick conservative. That should be a perfect angle into this hole. Yeah. I on the other hand, I like how this driver feels. So, I’m going to keep ripping it and have a little bit of a closer approach. Try to make bird day. That’s out. Came out of it a little. Uh it’s been the clubs a little bit like with uh drives I’ve lost strokes on there and uh irons are pretty pure. I can’t complain there. So it’s been a mix of me and the clubs not flirting with danger. That’s probably pretty smart play being five up. All right, I’m gonna aim up the left side like Ash, not flirt with it. And I’m going to swing a little harder. Little left. Be fine. That guy’s kind of aimed there. I think that’s probably cuz he swung hard and the shaft released. Okay. 159 yards. Slightly down. But also, if you’re not confident with the clubs you have or if you’re doing some things you don’t normally do, you’re going to get some strokes. And if you’re playing a player that’s cruising, you can’t really compete against that. So, let’s hope on a whole nine of Apple that has no water, no hazard, no nothing, that he quadruple bogeies. They’re coming down to the final hole right now and Ashen’s in the lead. Do you think John has any chance? No. I think it’s very low. No, but Ashen, there’s always a chance. He could blow it up. I think you said that too that they they work pretty well. And just like every club we test, it’s obviously not ours. So, we’re less comfortable and we’re not going to swing them as well, but they work. But overall, I wouldn’t want to use these. I think it it depends. Yeah, it depends on the handicap. If you’re a higher handicap just getting into golf with not a big budget, they work and if you have two months of time for shipping. Yeah, you’re you’re gonna have to wait a while. I think it depends on what stage in golf you’re at. But I think if you’re a higher handicap with not a lot of money, not a bad choice. Not a bad choice. All right, 98 yards back blue pin. I think if you’re a high handicap with a low budget that is just getting into golf and has some time to wait for clubs to get in the mail, not a bad option. No sir.
