LEVEN GOLF LINKS – hidden gems ep 2

Right, day two. We’re all packed. Good night stay. Panicking here. We could be a wash or even going to uh F. The boys are in. Morning. Morning. Morning. Morning. Go mates. Day two. How did you sleep? Okay. So nice room. No. Had a lovely meal though, Steve, didn’t we? The meal all right in the end. Yeah, meal was fine. Yeah, it’s not bad. Yeah. Holo chicken. He’s had chance to calm down, hasn’t he? And we’ve just been waiting to Simon. We’re first one up, last one to car. Yeah. Oh, mate. Well, here’s a one for you. Right, we’re here. Lemon links. Not looking good. The rain forecast in the next 30 minutes. It’s in for the day. Bad. It’s coming from Edinburgh over there as you probably could see. So, as you speak now, I’m going to be all over it short trying to find a golf course, what’s decent and a hidden gem. So, this is a part you don’t normally see. And this is a a nightmare. Everyone’s sat around and I’ve got to try and figure the problem. But I I’ll find an answer to the problem. Right, golf ms. This is the state of play. We’re going to hang fire. We was going to go to farf far, but the weather there could be 50/50. This is Michael and Lucas. Hello. Lucas or Luca? Lucas. Oh, I’ve got it right. This is Simon, unshaven pro from uh Australia. So, what we’re doing at the moment, because you seen yesterday’s video, Simon was the worst putter you’ve ever seen on YouTube. We’re going to Is it Skooner Golf Club? Scar gold club. Yeah. Well, we think we can get a secondhand putter for Simon, the fake pro. Good tradesman never blames his tools, does he? Yeah. What are you getting? I’m not a good tradesman. Although, you don’t blame his tools. So, yeah, fingers crossed. Fingers crossed this Weber’s going to miss us. You might think we’re all right at moment with sun, but on that side, it’s awful. So, we’re 8 till 10:00 at night. We’re 8 till 10:00 at night. Right, golf mates. We’re on the course. So, we’re at Levven Links part 71, 6,300 yards. Not had the drone up yet. Hopefully, we can get the drone up, but you’re seeing stuff now. What you normally don’t see. Everything’s rosy in the garden. So, we got here at 9:00 and as we speak, 9:00, as you can see there, it’s half past 1. Half past one. We just played the fists of warm up, some b- rolls, and now we’re going to get cracking. Let’s go, mates. Enjoy leaving links. [Music] Where do we go from here? [Music] Absolutely flush that. You are the best caddy in the world. Come on, fat boy. Come on, fat boy. Is this another Barlow special? Yeah. Heat. [Music] [Music] Oh, that is that needs washing or burning. Shove it up in the hair up onto the level and let’s stick with me. We’ll be winning everything, especially off one. Here we go. Three. [Laughter] You still got your looks. I know. That’s it. Right. Here we go. What’s it called? Null or non. No. No. K N O W E. No. 350. And we’ve got wind into Oh, no. Right. I’m on the T first and it’s Mr. One handicap pro who needs a shave. Looks like a bank robber. Then Mr. Barlow with all the shots. As Jim Boeing used to say. Good game. Good game. Jim Boeing. That weren’t Jim Boing. That was uh what was he called him? I didn’t even know who Jim [ __ ] is. Big chin. He does Buzz. Bullseye. He had a big chin. Yeah, big chin. And big. What’s he called? Bruce for you get Jim. I don’t know where it’s come from. [Music] Beautiful, mate. Oh yeah, baby. That’s a spanker up on top. So this is a genuine split fairway hole. Yeah. Yes. Sweet. Very unusual, huh? Keep the book. You can go right, but you might have a blind shot. Yeah. Let’s not go there. Okay. Right, Mr. P. Been watching a few more instructional videos overnight. So, is it still Robert Rock? It’s the Rockstar, mate. The Rockstar. Right. Do your routine. We’ll be quiet for you, won’t we, Steve? It’s all about the routine. Get those bloody hands close together. I’m going to follow you or try to follow you, Lee. Yeah, perfect. Right over my ball, but with more height. Two crackers there. Yeah, I’m happy with that one. Oh, and I got a nice feed right too. Right. Well, there’s one thing I do know. We’ve broke the rules. We won’t be having a shot here. We didn’t say it. Oh, what’s Shirley going to do? Hh. What’s Shirley going? Short, is it? So, well, it’s your first one at day. It’s against the wind. But no, Steve with seven strokes. He’s doing He’s not going to have a shot first to all go shot in. Yeah, he’s going to just ride the wave home, mate. Yeah, is that what he’s going to do? Oh. up it. Oh, is there a fur way there, Pres? There is a bit. Is it going to kick left? Oh, a bird. It hits a bird, didn’t it? Oh, there’s another fway there. It goes like this. We could kick in. What I will say, we’d love to show you all our new apparel, which is beautiful. I’m looking all hip Celtic Island, but we can’t because we’re in middle of July and it’s uh it’s bloody Baltic today, is it? It is a little right golf mates, we’re out at Le Links. We’ve got out. We are doing all right. Hopefully that’s the last of the weather there. Right, last week we did the Michael Jackson thing with Mr. Barl. We can’t do it this week because we didn’t have time to rehearse it and give him the questions. But as you seen last week, he cocked it all up. Right, Stevie boy, where are we today? Living Golf Club day two. Scotland’s hidden gems. Oh, mate. And I tell you what, the weather’s behaving now, isn’t it? Yeah, it’s not ready at the moment. No, we had a little squall come through. Golf mates. I’ve still got the beanie on or the what do you call them over here? Then you call them the barnet or something. The beanie is the wrong one. Yeah. Okay. So, I’ve got that on. Golf mates. I’m feeling the cold. We got our tops on. So, uh yeah, I’m sure the sun will come out very very shortly. We’ve been instructed to drive a little slower today, Steve. While we talk. Yeah, while we talk. So, uh the boss said drive slower. Boss man said. So, I think we’ve uh we probably talked about this Golf Mates Par 71. Uh founded in 1846. It’s one of the oldest parcels of golfing land in the entire world. Um and you guys are in for an absolute treat today. So, we get uh Steve gets seven strokes, Liam three. One yesterday and I get one stroke. And what is it? Liam says the caveat is that we need to nominate the hole we wish our stroke to be on. Yes. When we get to the tea box. So you got one. I haven’t nominated yet. I only You got eight. I got one stroke. Yeah. No one’s No one’s having a shot on this hole. No. No. Cuz we didn’t nominate. Yeah. Cuz we teed off. Yeah. So we don’t know what holes we’re playing. Golf mates. We’ve just got to fit that in around the uh around the course. So uh we can’t tell you where we’ve taking them until we get on to the tea box itself. That’s it. Yeah. We got Steve’s back here. Right. We’ll be back soon with some bump hacks. Barow’s got loads. Right. 196. I do not like that lie. I don’t either. I don’t. But unfortunately, it’s tough, isn’t it? It’s a perfect little draw, Steve. No, I’ve got five wood. Send him right. Work him back. Top it. Go on, son. He’s pinned it. Go on. Hard boat. Go. Oh, there. Oh, no. No. That was my feet. It’s not easy, is it? Buffet. You know what? I think that was a great shot from that line all day long. Very challenging for a short statured player. That fol’s a cracker, wasn’t it? If we weren’t warm, we would have played that. The first hole is a great hole, wouldn’t it? Yeah. You’re just right on the sea front. It’s a proper lynx course. This is on the sea. Right. Here we go. 125 into a wind. I do think if it’s short a tad there’s going to be a bounce. Yeah. Got wedge. I think I don’t want to hit easy n but it could be. I think you just fully commit to this mate. And blue’s at the back. Oh, listen to the sound that makes off this firm lynch turf. Well shot. Full 9 every day of the week. Cuz that was a really good shot. It was certainly great. Isn’t it different, mate? Like I’ll tell you what it is. It looked a lot shorter. Well, my wedge scores 130. It’s complete caddy error cuz that’s two great shots. That’s a caddy error. Told you it was at the back. It’s a heal shot. Yeah. Hey, great drive, Phil. Does it matter? Does it Oh, yeah. That’s That’s normally the line you give me, right? What can I say? Some cry eye on. Do you know what over it? It just the yardage was there on my shot scope, but it just didn’t look it. It looked a lot shorter. I didn’t trust it. Never mind. Never mind. Up and down the old school way. What a drive by Simon by the way. He’s all right for caring someone else, but he can’t do his own distances himself. E. Well, this seems to be the case. Ste, can you give me a yardage in meters, please, Steven? Well, it’s 94 110. Well, the pins at back, so it’s about 100 meters that side. 100 meters. So, going on. No, Simon, it’s 100 yards. It’s 110. 100 yards is 90 m. You got 91 meters. Yeah, cuz you had it on 10%. Don’t forget the wind. Yeah. Oh, super caddyy. Hey, don’t forget the h. Unbelievable. I know. I’ve dropped one there. I know. I know. When I mate, I’ve got 54. Yeah. And after seeing yours, like I’m I’m going to go and try and nip down a 50 actually. What sort of a little bump and run here? Can’t do it, can he? He’s a fair morons in the past. I’ve seen Is is this not a little bump and run? No. Okay. No, mate. I’m a changed person. I’ve been watching the You look right scruffy so you need a big shave. Does he have a shave? You said to me you look you look really good with a bit of facial hair. Who said you did? I didn’t say no matter what you’ve got, you don’t look good, do you? I look good in salmon. What do you think in salmon? Red. Yeah. Focus on your shots. Back into your zone, Salmon. Right. Focus. It’s a beautiful ball green, isn’t it? Yeah. That’s on the pin. That the wind’s killing that now. Yeah. And this is what I love about the game. Like I I was super stoked with that. And you look it. I’m 40 foot short. But it was great though. Great strike, great ball flight. Just the wrong club. hindsight because we’re not used to link. Would a little chip and run get closer? I would rather have played that with a nine iron. Probably a grip down nine iron. Yeah. Shorten the lever. Same swing. It’s pity you don’t listen to your own advice. See Mr. I’m not going to listen to you mate. Super caddy. Former former tour winning caddy. You’re going down in my bloody Simon. That shot please pleases me and Liam. We already we’ve seen the clip. He’s bought a putter. Let’s see. All right, SCI Gold Club bargain rack. What you having, mate? I’ve gone for the Cleveland Cleveland putter. I don’t know what it is. How much is it? 30 quid. Is it going to be better than the other? Going to be a hell of a lot better, mate. Can’t be worse, can’t it? Can’t be worse. No excuses. No excuses. A good tradesman never a good tradesman always blames his tools. I bought a pot of 29 quid. You watch the birdies flow today. You thinking, mate? I’m thinking it’s a full pitching wedge cuz it’s at the back and it’s saying 96. Right, you got wind against. Okay, I think this is too big. But like I said, it looks the green looks shorter, but he’s got to get that bunker. I’ve got ATR. I don’t know what hole is he on. Rob a dog. That’s awesome. Shard. Not Shard St. Sergio Garcia on him then. Talent in the hand is he who? Yezie. The fell was Gimenez. Not Yemenz. Same fell. G him. G himz. Different place. Both of you muppets are wrong. Gimenez. Gimz. Yeah. What’s his first name? Miguel. Yeah. Miguel. Like the beer. Miguel. You look like a silver dash hound racing up the slope then. Snick’s a beast. I’m on the beat. Look, I’m on the dance floor. That’s all I’m bothered about. Murder on the dance floor. He’s near 30 quid. Was it 20? 29 quid. It’s the Cleveland Classic number seven. Designed in Huntington Beach, California. Original decals. Uh original shaft. Yeah. Made in China. Made in China. Oh yeah. Good. I’m not saying anymore in front of you, too. Pull chip, Simon. Chip, mate. Well, he’s got the chipper on him. So, come on. European winning. A green light chip for you, mate. You got great hands. Oh, go on. Skid. No, not enough. Checked up that it didn’t it mate. Crisp. You can you can press that into the the uh the turf. Lovely then. Thank you. Thank you. What’s this fist? I was hell rock sister. How do you want it, Simon? Oh, out. Thanks. You’ve been here before. You can do it again. Let the legend grow. It’s a carousel. Magic happens. Talking to himself. He is. Yeah. Under the bridge, right? One new putter. Can I get it to the hole? Visualize, feel, and execute. Has he got the receipt? Yeah. Oh, he’s reaching. Oh, you dirt me. I would have gone in if I’d hold that. in an O. O, please. Right, come on. All this and put it back in for me. Hey, good put. That’s the Huntington Beach classic number seven. Original decals, original shaft. If you weren’t a stubborn old sod, you would have won yesterday except that crap you brought. Yeah. Right. Put you for par. Oh, go on. Yes. I’m more excited than you. Put back in some easy two hands. Oh, how good is that? That were never missing that were it. The old adage, mate. The past doesn’t equal the future. Well done. Nice. Well done. God ste looks like a tennis player. What would you call him? Fat guy. It’s not hit it, Steven. Oh, that’s not dead, is it? It out. No, leave it. It’s going to be fine. End of week. That’s blob. Come on. Scores on the doors. Right. Scores on the doors. Four for two. Simon Ping. Four for two, Mr. Harrison. Um, first all blob, Mr. B. Oh, Ste, I’m not laughing at you. I’m laughing with you. Even though you’re not, I’m laughing for you. I would like a shot on the next all, please. Don’t worry. It’ll be marked down on the card. I don’t make mistakes. You did yesterday. I didn’t you. Yeah, you did. You told us we’re 16. We got 17 in the air. I don’t look at the card. I give the card to the boys. Can’t stay. Come on, mate. Don’t worry. Yeah, it’s first. See, it’s got a spur putter. Putter. It’s just hitting it hard enough to get to it all. First putt. Well, you should have had a practice putt like me instead of sleeping in the car. Sleeping in the car. Just getting away from you. Oh, mate. Oh, this next is going to be a brute to wind. I tell you now, it’s first stall in it. It’s very slow, isn’t it? So, what can I do? Hey, Mr. Barow, what have you done there? Simon P two miracle. One put by Mr. Harrison. Well, well, well. I’m coming back to the best putter on the channel. But what we have got now is an absolute beast of a hole. It’s straight into the wind. We’ve got the fer on the right. I think over if the drones up, we can see Bass Rock. We can see the Glenn Edinburgh. And I believe we might be able to see Hips Football Ground. As Mr. Barlo does the card golf mates cuz obviously we can’t rely on Liam to do the card on his own because uh he is prone to making the odd mistake. Another another fun fact, the dunes were created here as the sea levels fell. Otherwise, this entire area would have become flooded. Isn’t that incredible, Steve? The sea would have reclaimed it. It would have reclaimed it, mate. So, uh yeah, mother nature is a wonderful thing, isn’t it? It is. It’s unbelievable what he does, isn’t it? I mean, created you. Normally, mom and dad’s created me. How good does this hole look? Bent. Like we’ve got a little ray of sunshine, a little ray of Stevie Barlow up there on the mountain. Bent. What’s it called? Bent. Bent. B. That. But it is into, isn’t it? But to be fair, that you don’t want to be left or right, do you? and then bunkers to the right player driver. Are you serious, mate? It’s playing 420, right? Okay. Cut its head off, mate. European winning, Caddy. Liam, I’m just going to fix your divot. How dare I say that before I’ve even struck a shot. Can I uh Well, I can find it. I can see it. Oh, how can it play a goal for you two? Right out. I can see clearly now. The rain has gone. It’s going to be fine. Fine. Some shiny day. shot. Oh, look at that baby’s got it left now on the banking. Can’t see. Didn’t reach the top, did it? No, I didn’t reach the top. I tell you, I’m struggling on the left hand side up that banking. Presley. Oh, it’s okay. It’s left. I’ve seen it. That’s a great strike. It’s It’s It’s on the light. It’s hard to see things coming down. Is it even? You know, this all when it said it 120. Yeah. It said it 120, but my eyes were saying it was 100 yards. Yeah, I could have been in carry in meters that sharp shot. Oh, is that boom? I tell you what, that’s a cracker, Steve. Oh, Steve, get up. Just up fur. Get up. Yeah. 3. I tell you what, that was a great shot. It’s playing 430, mate. At least great shot. Chris the manager said that uh if we’re able to par the 18th he’ll buy us a pint because it’s playing straight into the teeth. Although by the time we finish could be downwind. Don’t win. No, don’t win the 18th. It is off the left. I’ll be holding him to that golf mates. Chris the manager. I’m designated driver so I’ll top it. I’ll have yours. Right. I might as well say I’ve just left the tea now and uh just going past the red T. It’s not the ladies TE’s. Let’s get it right. God b. And uh got 300 yards in thinking about this. Oh, we’re here at my ball already. Stay. Yes. What was that? I don’t know. That’s like a beginner’s drive, ain’t it? It wasn’t. He He said, “I’ll find that.” I said, “You know, I don’t have to find it. I can see it. It’s not that far. Only just past ladies.” Here’s the ladies tea golf, mate. And it’s only just past what 20 m past the ladies. That’s too generous. 20 yards. He saved himself the embarrassment of a shout. Just to let you know, this is 2025 and for all you princesses out there, that is not a ladies tea. That’s the red tea. Who plays off reds then? Um, what what do you identify as, Steve? I’ve always reds ladies. Yeah, there we go. Juniors are blues, whites and yellows, and blacks are for men. We’ll cut that now. Oh, I’ve got your 262. I’ve got 35 wood. I just want to try and get it down there. It’s a bit of a bur lie. Wind’s dropped. Oh, yeah. We can see that. We We shouldn’t laugh at people of determination. We’ve all done it. We’ve all done it. Yeah. No, that’s shocking. Yeah. And our our time will come, but it is funny. And I mean, you have to seize the moment. I’m laughing myself. Shocking for a beginner. Come on, Steve. In the cart. Is it still me? Where’s your sevenwood? Yeah, you’re still away. Where’s your sevenwood? Oh [ __ ] He’s got a new sevenwood golf makes. I don’t think he’s put in the bag, but he’s not been very good at it, has he? He’s shy. He’s not good with woods. More like me and Simon. Oh, mate. We’re amazing. No, I’m used to it hitting big shots into green. So that’s why I’m good at woods cuz you have a lot of practice. Yes. Yeah. Yes. I’m not too sure. I just top two balls. Now you’ve been watching for years and I can use shanks. I can go left and right, but I never top it. Right. This will be a great five. I’m going for a five. I want a shot. Got to get a point. So Steve, yes. Liam’s played two shots. He’s not a driver. He’s not a driver on a fivewood 3wood, fivewood, whatever. It’s got 35 wood and he’s behind your drive still. My goodness. Poor fella. He needs a hug. Yeah, he definitely needs a hug. Hands are on his neck. We’ve just said you’ve had a driver and a a fivewood with a freewood shaft and you’re still behind me. Right. 158 into win. I’ve got five on five. eye on. Okay. I think he’s going to be a club shy here. Try and hook it in. I think it’s a sevenwood to be honest. Straight at the pin short. Shot. Yeah, that’s a golf shot. Hey, what a shot that was. That was a nice shot, Simon. Was it three clubs short of the green, mate? He’s on the green. He’s on the green. No, he is. Yeah, it’s on the green. Three for two. Sorry, golf mates. Yeah, it was a five on. Perfect club of choice. He is a European tour winning caddy though, isn’t it? Yeah, baby. You know, well done, Liam. Jeez, I am a [ __ ] muppet. Baby, come back. Here I am saying no, you need four on then I’m going you need seven wood. And you [ __ ] flushed it. I’ll agree with that. Great shot, mate. Right, Mr. Bar 150? No, I’ve got it 170 at the back. And that pins at the back against the wind. What does that say? At middle says 148. Are you on the third hole? What’s the back? Back is 165. Are you on the third hole? Yeah. I’m trusting my watch. What you eating? Seven wood. Oh yeah. He wants more. Oh no, you need more than that. This will flow in there. No, he’s just a lower. He’s got the stinger going. Piss off. Don’t you dare. Is that the road runner? Just keep watching. Oh my god, it’s going on the green. You having that? Well, can I do a dip in it? Oh, rabbit scrape. Worm droppings. That’s all right. I’ve got a shot. I’ll do it for one. For one. 97 m to that flag. I’ve set it to meters. That 97 meters to the flag for us. That mean 110. What? N I reckon. Yeah, I do. So I said it at the start of the trip, former tourinning caddy. I’m going to listen to him this trip. Gold baits. If I were cing for you, I would be skint. But I would say smooth nine. It’s actually that pen is I’m sort of feeling it’s not going to be enough club. You go. Why you talk yourself out of it? Were you? No, I’m just thinking how how severe the breeze is into us here. And I don’t know how much room we got at the back of the green. 97 m. It’s 106 y golf. Thanks. 98. But he’s blowing. No. Lovely shot. Wind’s got it now. Not hit it. Pin eye. That’s why you’re sticking with me. Don’t want to say it, do you? Oh my. You are the best caddy in the world. Worst player. Stick with me. We’ll be winning everything. Yeah, especially off one. Oh, [ __ ] Dear. Comment below. What do you think, golf mates? What you doing, mate? I’m going to shove it up in the hair up onto the level and let it release into the pin. Shove it up into whose hair? In the hair. Got the giggles. What club? Pitching. Why you just let me play me golf instead of keep asking me what I’m doing? Obviously, I’m trying to get to the He’s got the [ __ ] We’re trying to give the golf mates information about the shots. Seems to me, golf mates, that was the hybrid road runner. It’s gone through. Who’s heard it going? Emoses. Don’t know where it’s gone. Just gone into rough at back by the looks of it. Oh, that’s gone to St. Andrews, you [ __ ] Right, we’re leaving Mr. Ball alone now. We’re just looking at Perth in it. It’s gorgeous. Oh, I just can’t believe what the hell. Look where the club face is finished. He’s got full right hand over left. I’d love a five. No, in fact, I love a five would be great here. You got this, brother. You got this. Got this for a five. Good hits it. That is a great weight. Wrong weight. Just said that I had that right to left, but it would have been lazy enough. From here you can see it moving. Yeah, great weight. Very good weight. Love these flags. Beautiful. Nice heavy pins, too. Lebanon badge on. You’ll see when it’s there in the black. Do you know what it’s called with the hairs in? Do you know what it means? The holes. The hairs. The holes. Do you know why what it’s called? Airrated. Perforated. Perforated. Every day, mate. Yeah. Right. Little left to right here. Golf mates got about I don’t know 18 ft moving from the left back to the right. Didn’t have a bird yesterday, did we? No. No one. Chances it reaches. Oh, he’s not hit. Oh no. Come on, fat boy. Come on, fat boy. Oh no. Jeepers. Simon, it will never go in if you don’t reach, mate. Never up, never in, Steve. That’s it. P. Well, it should. It’s on a slope like this, Steve. Six for one. Look at it. Come on, Liam. Bang the back out of it, mate. you lucky dog. Lovely. Was that a five? What were you getting laughing at me? What a lucky dog that was. Is that a five? Oh, was that a five? Congratulations. Good five. Four for two, five for two, six for one on the pad. Now, make sure you mark the scorecard, too, Steve. What? Make sure you mark the card. I need a hug. Hey, you could have done your longest shot ever from Scotland to London. One 135. What have you got doing? I’ve got nine, but I’m thinking it could be big. Me, too. You want wedge? You got me thinking now. Yep. That’ll do for me. Right. This is called the valley’s turn right now. That is a London link. That’s a great old straw one. All that green, right? Oh, I tell you what. Beautiful, isn’t it, mate? Yeah. shot. Jeez. I’m going to say come down. Come down. Go. Come down. Fine. That’s another good shot. That is a lovely strike, mate. Good job. Hit nine. Good job. I know a caddy. Oh, look. Steve’s up on the tea. Still better looking than you. That is absolutely stunning, Steve. Get in the hole. Go, Steve. Go on, Steve. Oh, it’s with you. Tell you what, well done. Bigger than you. We’re so happy. We thought we were going to hit you. We’re so happy you’re safe. Well, finally a bit of golf. Three good golf shots there. Uh, big up to the green keepers. Check this out. That’s a bit of class there. What a par three that is. Not bad a total Mr. Beast just ran through. I’m smelling a birdie. We’ve not had a birdie. I’ve got the pace of these greens. The greens are good. It’s birdie time. Could be up two tomorrow at this rate. Come on, get your par. Get two points. Come on, Stevie. Boy, I’m I want him to do well. Yeah, road runner scoop. See, you don’t say anything and it’s a good shot. See, we don’t ask you. You can do a good shot. Yeah. Well, that’s it. That was the scoop. Yeah. Let him see what he wants you to do. Scoop. Yeah. I’m not going to par yet. A blobing 621s, I think. Do you want to lift back up or you words at me mouth? Need JCB. Get him up. [Laughter] Right. There’s a lot of movement here. Left to right. I’ve got this in the bag. He’s coming last. Actually, no. I want to come second cuz I don’t want to drop another shot. Getting another shot. I don’t. Anyway, whatever he said. So, I know Simon’s got to use me as a caddy. He’s struggling that much. But I’ll help him because we’ve seen his putting. Uh, beautiful, beautiful golf shot. That his second shot on that par five there was unbelievable. Mr. Barlows are good. I’m going up now. I’m going to look see if he’s on the green cuz if not I’m going to get shouted at. And he’s Oh my god, he’s now in here. I don’t think. Oh, course he’s pin high. Look, he’s up there top left four iron. Uh playing this course uh I think peak peak time highest you’re going to pay is 120 but I think you can get it on from 70 or twilight 60. I don’t know if that’s Scottish rates or not but oh look at that weather. Wow. Moody moody shot Simon top half at green. Even five might have got there but you’re better off being safe. Oh yeah mate. No I’m stoked. Well well listened. Thank you to We can have a shave tomorrow if you keep listening. What about you? Yeah, I will have one as well. Okay. But mine doesn’t look old and gray. I get it. Mine’s uh Yeah, it’s all right. Yeah, but I’m older than you. Not as old as Steve. You’re looking Steve nicer. Totally. But in seriousness, Steve does look the youngest out of all of us. Steve, what I am going to say, you’re here for net one. This is your moment. Get some points back. Three points if I can. And he’ll free pot. I want Oh, yeah. Steve, do you think it’s because you use so much links Africa? No, it’s Nivea. I sell it. That you look so young. I sell it. No, it’s Nivea. It’s Nivea. My mother used to use oil of oulelay. Oil of oulelay. Yes. No castor oil. No. Didn’t want to look like you, Steven. Concentrate. Don’t tell us what you’re going to do. You got seven yards. Just going to put it on the green. Perfect. Oh, the continental fat shot. That was woeful. You watch where this is going to finish. Should start going right now. Stop. No, you can’t. No. Stop. Turn right. Turn right. You can’t. That’s dog [ __ ] Honestly, what’s wrong with that? This might be my first three-pointer. Go off, mates. The ball’s here. He’s in the ball there. The length of his weaky dinks away. How can I do you know what four pointer is right back in it in it? Boom. Honestly, yours is perfect, but that’s got closer and closer and I’m four for four. Was it Are you trying to say it were dog [ __ ] No. All I’m trying to say it wasn’t clean. I would just like him to once admit that he didn’t hit the shot clean and he got a fortuitous bounce. Well, I’ve got to be honest. You have watched the channel for years. Does he do them sort of shots regularly? That’s what you get when you do it. So, you think he hits it fat deliberately? Oh, yeah. He’s checking some off. That’s that’s that’s that’s what happens on link courses. Oh, get the JCB. Get him up. He’s froze. He’s playing statues. Right. Put him for eagle 225 yards. Good job. If he moves the flag, wouldn’t it? Do you reckon? Do you reckon? Slightly harder. Yeah. Oh, still too wide of the hole. Take that away. Hang on. You’re not in the hole. What are you doing now? He’s finishing. All right. God, he looked nervous then. His bum was shaking here. Rusty nail for you. Good birdie. First one of the trip. But are you going to get a four point? You got three points on me though, didn’t you? Yes. Yeah, cuz I had a bit of a lead. He’s got This is for a fourpointer. Get in, Steve. Get It’s good on you. I tell you what, I’ve been getting it large in the boogie cage in the boogie cam about Well, it probably be about an hour and 15 minutes ago now, but uh Wow, that’s brilliant. Cats among the the pigeons. Yes, he does. You didn’t want that, did you? Two birdies. No, I didn’t. I did. I don’t mind. Oh, you look have the rusty nails. I can’t. Can I? No. No. It’s one for one. One for all. Birdie each. Birdie each. One each. Oh, [ __ ] We don’t have enough left. Do you have to get the reserve? I think you miss out. Oh, that was awesome. Right, that blob was not the right timing with them two going birdie birdie. Three points for Sai, four points for Mr. Barl. Another absolutely stunning golf hole. Tricky. It’s actually a stroke six called bling. No, no, hang on. Can I correct you? Yeah. Bing. B I N G. Oh yeah. Sorry. Without the O. Bingo. Uh should we do ready golf while he’s Yes. Yeah. Like bugger him, mate. Yeah. Come on then. I’ll go then. Yep. Yeah. Big driver. It would have been uh I think you’ve got to be aiming at that bunker on the left side and then you’d be like I’ll sing it again a little bit left of that. But anyway, yeah, go for it. Channel you’re in a Rocco. Oh, it’s going right. Cut it. We’re not going to see you. Got to left. Got to left. I can’t move, Steve. Why? Cuz I was holding my pose for what? There must be a bit of room there. Surely is. Was it tight? It’s tight. And it’s out of bounds. White. I reckon I’m okay. Look for me. White stick. I reckon we’re going to get levered in a minute. Absolutely. We will. Here it comes now. Yeah, that will run forever that. Yeah. Yeah. Shots, D. Gee, is that in the bunker? No, mate. Shy. It’s just short about 20 foot shot, I think. I just love how these bunkers look like eyelids. Yeah, they’re they’re uh wonderful design. Spear shots. Good swing, Liam. Very good swing. Don’t What you want to do is sit here in be honest. I think we’re gonna have to let them through. Stay out of way. Yeah. Yeah. You know what would be interesting, mate? To know how much land they actually move because it looks so natural, doesn’t it? The water moved too much land. Yeah. Tom Morris wouldn’t. It’s Tom Morris design, isn’t it? Yeah. Yeah. Tom Morris design. They don’t move. No JCBs back then, Steve. No, it’s all labor. Big strong bloss drinking Guinness really and Mccurans in 1846. Munich originated from tenants. No no Iron Brew Iron I brew. Right golf mates. Uh 47 minutes after we’ve teed off. We’re here for our second shot. Absolutely drenched. But what I am going to say, this is a gorgeous golf. It doesn’t have to be long to be awesome. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? One of the things when you’re playing a course for the first time, you don’t actually know where all the trouble is. So, you’re somewhat confident when you stand up on a T- ball or a T-shot. That’s fair comment. When you get up here, you go, “Holy smoke.” Yeah. If you remember, you know in your head, don’t go right, don’t go right, don’t you? I would never have hit the big dog here. Right. 135 yards. You the same 128 I think. Okay. No. 131. What are you hitting? Nine. He’s done it again. That’s disgusting. Is this another Barlow special? It’s straight at the stick. This is a piss take down. Get him. You’ve wrong with that. Shoot me. Just punch me in the face. Whack. Uh, mate, well done. I can’t move him back. And do you know we laughed at him early doors if he’s absolutely going to beat us up there. So he’s there for one. Yeah. Two net one. Right. So we go. I’ve got 115 yards. Mr. Barl’s put it to 10. Have you got a stroke here, Liam? No. Saving it for the last if we can get to it because it’s a long ride. Okay. Soft wedge shot. Oh, that’s majestic. That is majestic. Spin right. Spin it. Oh, he’s big. You going past me. That’s big. Right, Steve, grab the cart, please. Yeah, no worries. I’ll do everything. See, I’m in play with no driver. That driver’s killing my game. But hey, all golf mates, we’re still at it and we’re we’re broke now. We’ll finish this video. Well, we’re going to finish it tonight. Be nice. I’m going to show you the digs where we’re staying because it’s an Airbnb in Curry Moore, which we’ve been before years ago with eBay Pete at Scotland Untap series there for two nights. I’ll be honest, I forgot what I boot so I don’t know if it’s rubbish or what. What I will say, Nick. Nick, let me just get the camera off. Nick, you need to watch. It’s got to be better than last night, ain’t it? Were you happy last night? Well, I slept all right. Yeah, we’ll go that far. Yeah. Yeah. I don’t want to go. Would you don’t want to go back? Don’t take me back. I reckon that’s an old train line that connected all the seaside villages. Yeah. And Levan was one of the last places in the UK to have a new train line. Not so long ago. New train lines here. So people from Edinburgh now can get the train to Levan which the station’s only behind the clubhouse and you can walk and play golf. Lovely. It’ be a long train for you. Fun fact. Walk on, walk off. The only smart thing I’ve done this trip so far is I’m the only one to bring the wet weather glove. We don’t play in the wet weather cuz the cameras get wet. See? Who’s smart now? Where’s some of it? Yeah. Send that pter. [Laughter] I’m going back I’m going back to Sconey Golf Club after this to get a new putter. Right. We’ll pick you up where Right. All right. Here we go. What do we have? 87 80 80 yards. Looks like a gnome. Yeah, norm fat one. [Laughter] Well, this is a little we challenging lie. Get you a pro. What’s up with you? Fake. Looks good. It’s coming in. Skid left now. Oh, criy. Too big. Do you know what I think it is? die. Water on the golf ball. No spin. I believe so too, golf mates. Yeah, water. Aqua planed off the golf club face. Aqua plane. Aqua plane. D used to sung Barbie girl. Aqua. Yeah. Steve. Got a club manager here. He’s just been looking in the bushes. Did you see some shots up in the air? Nice shots. Not very many up in the air. Whoa, whoa, whoa. We ate two crackers. Three was in the air. Yeah, but the closest one wasn’t. And he’s got a shot. But I had to hit the ball while it was all wet before. Is it going to be a bit slower now with that rain? Do you want it in or out? Oh, on this occasion I’ll have it out. It won’t be much difference in pace, mate. Nothing. No. Presley’s foot. I’d move that flag with your put him. Sigh. Oh, right. Putty for birdie. Good pace. Good pace. Work it. Work it. Work it. Work it. Great. See, no driver. You’re on the board all the time, honor. I think the driver might accidentally get left on a buggy. Well, drivers are for men. That’s what it is, right? Puty for birdie for fake. He’ll be happy with a two. I’ll tell you now. You’ll snap your hand off of it. I’m actually quietly confident here that I could roll this one in. Lie. [Music] Better pace. Not going to reach. I know, but it’s better 19t past, isn’t it? Never going to reach. I can’t. Take your hat off. It’s got warm now. Where did you get your certificate from? I bet your a mess under that. Mark the pro of you. Mark your ball. Yeah, you got to mark it out. Well, got the account you stood on me lie. It doesn’t matter. I still have right away, mate. No, you haven’t. I do. It’s me next, not you. [ __ ] Barlow, sit over here. Unless the rules have changed since I started, mate, you stood on me, so he can’t. Eti Simon, he hasn’t got any. He’s from Australia, he got you. You ain’t got any? I’ve got plenty. After an amazing T-shot. Do you dare Steve? It doesn’t get any better at that. I hate to say it. Welld deserved. Right. So, we He’s got more points, right? Three. No, no, no. I’m going to work some out now. Golf mates, do the maths. He’s got more points in the last three holes than all of yesterday. Finish if you want. Say well done. I’m shaking. Four points. Oh, it’s done. We’re done. Yeah. I think you might have to put that one back. I don’t want to get called out for cheating. What’s that? No, you do it now. The rules have changed. Sure. 100%. We’re mates, aren’t we? Just don’t stand on the line. No. Just don’t stand on me lie. Are you happy, Steve? Oh, yeah. Hey, one minute. Can I ask you a question? Do you like Lynch’s golf? No. I prefer Parkland. Oh boy. How waiting for him go? I love it. So that was a four-pointer. Yeah, we can’t catch him now. He’s He blobbed the first three and he’s battering us now. First two. Two to play. Well done on Ste. Yeah, we got a pair of the last, don’t we? Drank off that gentleman over there. A two pot. Boom. Welcome to snacking the right edge. I suppose you want to say the scores, won’t you? No, I’ll let you do the grin. Well, my back’s hurting. There’s no in me face. Right. Scores on the doors. Mr. B. Boom. Three for four. Mr. Harrison four for two and the F2. He’s actually admitted to doing something wrong. He’s actually said he’s just pushed the putt. Right. Last all. 450. 470 to back. It is a par four. I’m having my one and only shot left on this hole. Mr. Mr. B will have a short non for Simon. We think Mr. B’s two or one or three in front after giving us a three or four OED start now. Get down. Hey, get down. You don’t want to bounce there. Oh, soft bounce doing all puddle. Bush. Puddle. Pro shop is a line. Oh, mate. I’m going way left of everything. Don’t you worry about that. Big ball is on the wrong side. Straight down the middle. It’ll kick left. He’s in trouble. Kick left off that. Don’t worry. It’s all right. You can talk to a fade, but didn’t see it finish. Talk to the fade. Back to being a man. You have no choice, have I? Thing is, this can go anywhere. Especially where my back’s sitting. I’ve got me excuse in push. You see? Got to get an excuse in, aren’t you? shot. Oh, mate. Great shot. Is that in the rough? That’s absolutely perfect. Try that at that. But I’ll take it. Problem is it’s another outside. You could be Hey, I think this is about me and you, you know. I think he’s that far in front. Who’s buying tea? Serious? Yeah. You can’t spend your Australian money here. You have to card cash machine. I got 150 chips just lying there in the wallet. Yeah, we should have brought them, should you? Quid here in Scotland. That 230. You need 200 to carry. But Mark said a local rule. If you pass the flags there, you’ve got to go for it. Who’s Mark? Yeah, Chris is No, I’m just going to punch something up there. Yeah, I don’t blame you. How far is it to the ditch? You think, Chris? I’ll tell you now, you can’t see that. I can see the ditch. I’ll zap it now. I’m telling you. It’s 250. You want to hit something? 180, mate. Yeah, I’ve got this 180. 7. Oh, great layups, Steve. Wrong side. That’s fine, mate. It’s fine. One boats, two boats, three bats in the hazard. There’s a bunker there. You’re not going to cause He never said that. Well, he did see it. It’s straight. Jeez, that looks a long way still, doesn’t it? Yeah. That’s me there. That’s me. I know. Yeah, that’s me. 200. Yeah, I know. Much love, big guy. Two iron. This is the biggest green in the world. It’s the biggest green. What I am going to say, just chuck me a yardage to the middle. 200 yards. To the middle. Yes. 180 front. If I were, you know, you, I’d say four irons of club for you. Absolutely. Fore on. Well, if you don’t hit it well, you’re in the mort. It’s not. I’ve given room to play though. Thing is, that’s a beautiful lot. I’d rather have that than that. Now, it’s all about centeredness of contact. No, you’ll need 180 clear. You’ve got four iron. You’re going to get a free paint if you get parrot. Must do better, Simon. Yeah, a lot better. Shush, Steve. Please. I’m in my bloody pre-shot routine, mate. Golf shot, mate. Sit down. Sit down. Go. Perfect number. See, this is why I’ve won on the European. This is why the crowds keep coming back. Yeah. No, this is why you listen to me. Thank you. Great shot that. Hey, you might get a birdie for a change. I’m actually pretty good. Even a blind squirrel will find. Don’t forget par it is. You got to par it. Are you that desperate for a drink, Steve? Yeah. Well, it’s a challenge, isn’t it? I like a challenge. All right, my man. What do you got? Six sign. Six sign. Two clubs less than me. Well, it’s a long way further. Probably. It’s just in one of them links lies, isn’t it? Yeah. Oh, go. Please go. Right at the middle. Oh, fish food. I know. Why you have a beggar club? It worked. The club the horrible swing flatters out. Well, I can’t have a part anyway. I’m driving. Yeah, but you could have got it and we could have drunk it. Go on. I’ll let you drive. You brought me on. Nothing but bad luck. He’s laughing at me. Fish food. He’s not gone yet, has he? Who? Now come on. A scustler will not get on the green. He’s got it a perfect shot. He’s got a good line. To be fair, he has elevation on his side, doesn’t he? Yeah. Landscapes on his side. Come on, Steve. Just wait for you to finish, you know. Well, you hit him, mate. Pitching high. Hopefully. Oh, absolutely brilliant. Steven sit too big. You better be. I tell you what, stare. That’s fine, mate. Two put parip about this. What have a drop? Can he count Chris? Two puts a borgi. Oh, you had a chip out. Oh, you laid up, didn’t you? Well done, Steve. I should have done that myself. That was awesome. I’m three on, Anna. I know. So, for two, I can count. I did go to grade one to seven and eight. Count. That’s what I’m saying. It’s all right, mate. It’s all right. Magic happens. Yeah. What an afternoon, mate. What an afternoon. Yes. Right, golf mates. Just playing a provisional. The ball there. We think that could be me. But just in case, just in case. It’s provisional. And he’s a new dancer. So I might take them off for that cuz if you let me know the scorers, I know what I’m shot. Very good. Well done. Great shot, mate. Great shot. Might not be it. Might be a better one in a minute. Oh. Oh, no. Here we go. [ __ ] sake. I’ll get screen shot. Liam, I think you need to chip it in to finish second. Is that me hit pin? Yep. Four in for two. That’s three. So playing four. Putting five from four and a half ft. can grow your club now knowing these, can’t you? Oh, too late now, is it? Right, golf mates. Look here. He is being brave. Took his new dablers off, but he’s left the socks on. Playing three. [Laughter] Go on. You’ll get out this time. I can’t. No. Why? I can’t get out now. You can. I can’t. We’ll go sideways. But because that ball’s in play, I know. Yeah, you know. I’m out of it, aren’t I? Yeah. Go on. Go on. Go on. I can’t get it out. You got nothing to lose. Come on. For the golf, mates. Keep going. This was a bad idea. Right. He’s playing five. We could have told you that at the beginning. Hey, [Applause] no points. Neil Qua, no points, Mr. Harrison. No points. Final all. Can’t have a drink off. Chris, you know something? This is the hardest bit. Five old fours ago, I on my GoPro saying, “Well, I’ve got this in the bag. I’m going to have to be off two tomorrow.” And uh I win that one, then the pro will be past me. But it’s bit me in the backside. Never mind. Great course, though, isn’t it? Great course. Yeah. Should listen to him. Simon, great shot. How am I finishing last after that start? Great chip though. 1. Need to play some courses in Edinburgh. Braid hills a council course but its brilliant.

  2. Rule number one first time playing a course…..learn how to pronounce the NAME of the course. It's pronounced LEEVIN. :/

  3. Played it last year. They charged an extra £30 because I wasn't Scottish 🙄. Pro was nice about it but came in at £100 which I thought was way steep. They live off the fact its a Scottish Open qualifying course but the day I played it was about a 40mph wind so made it a very unenjoyable experience. Won't be going back.

  4. Appreciate the effort to bring this content to the YouTube channel. Good to see how much you enjoy each other's company. Play well mates!
