CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Arkansas women’s golf head coach Shauna Taylor will be inducted into the Women’s Golf Coaches Association Coaches Hall of Fame in December, the WGCA announced on Monday.

Taylor joins George Fox University’s MaryJo McCoskey as the 58th and 59th members of the WGCA Coaches Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place on Monday, December 8, at Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Orangeburg, South Carolina native was named Arkansas’ head coach in 2007, and since that moment, she has helped usher in an era of unprecedented success. Her 18-year run at the helm in Fayetteville has seen a program transformed into a national power.

The women’s golf program experienced one of its best seasons ever in 2024-25 with four straight tournament wins, a No. 1 ranking and an NCAA Quarterfinals appearance for the first time since 2019. Taylor’s Hogs finished inside the top 3 10 times in 12 stroke play events and defeated No. 7 Texas and No. 13 Oregon in two match play events. After three straight wins to close out the fall, Arkansas jumped to No. 1 in Scoreboard by Clippd’s National Collegiate Golf Ranking. The Razorbacks entered the postseason as the No. 1 seed at the NCAA Columbus Regional and finished runner-up, three shots behind Kansas. Taylor and Arkansas advanced to their second straight NCAA Championship appearance and 13th overall. At Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, the Hogs made both cuts and advanced to match play as the No. 6 seed. The Razorbacks faced 3-seed Northwestern, the eventual team champion, but dropped the match on the playoff hole. Prior to match play, Taylor coached sophomore Maria José Marin to a 12-under, first place finish. José Marin joined Stacy Lewis and Maria Fassi as the program’s NCAA champions, all coached by Taylor. Arkansas ended the season ranked as the No. 2 team in Clippd’s poll and collected four WGCA All-American honors, 4 All-SEC honors and Taylor earned a spot on the WGCA Coach of the Year Watch List.

All-time, Taylor has led the Razorbacks to 17 consecutive NCAA Regional appearances. The team has gone on to reach the NCAA Championships nine times, highlighted by three fifth-place finishes. A two-time SEC Coach of the Year, Taylor has coached three individual NCAA Champions, one PING WGCA Player of the Year, 19 WGCA All-Americans, and 46 WGCA All-American Scholars.

Earlier this fall, Taylor was voted the No. 5 best women’s golf head coach by her fellow coaches, compiled by Golfweek.
