Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai seemed to have accidentally revealed extra details about the US President’s health which the White House is reportedly trying to control. The 18-year-old Kai Trump’s Instagram post may have unintentionally revealed the timeline behind Donald Trump’s long-rumored hand injury that the President first blamed on ‘shaking hands’ with so many people.

Her Instagram carousel initially appeared to be another influencer-style post promoting her clothing line, similar to posts from NFL star Travis Kelce. However, below the hidden selfies and throwback pictures was a photo confirming Donald Trump’s bruised hand had been visible since November, weeks before his official White House return. It comes after Kai gave a four-word update on Donald’s health after alarming concerns, reports The US Express.

The photo was initially posted on election night and shows Kai and Donald Trump celebrating inside Mar-a-Lago as the results came in. Trump’s right hand was noticeably caked with a poor spray tan or a thick layer of foundation concealing purple bruising near his knuckles. At the time, no one paid attention.

After months of speculation, it seems the makeup was an early effort to hide a problem that would later become a major topic on cable news and health blogs. Trump addressed the bruising in December 2024 during a TIME interview, chalking it up to “shaking hands with thousands of people.”

In August, multiple photos emerged of Trump’s right hand showing bruises, prompting social media users to ask for answers regarding the president’s health. When photos of the bruised-looking hands started circulating online, White House released a memo explaining that Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), which his physician described as “benign and common.” Trump has long faced scrutiny over his health, concerns have increased as more images show bruising on his hands and swelling in his legs. CVI is a common condition, with about 150,000 new patients diagnosed with it each year, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

In July, the White House released a statement from Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, clarifying that the discoloration on his hand was “consistent with minor soft tissue irritation caused by frequent handshaking and aspirin use.” The doctor noted that aspirin is part of a “standard cardiovascular prevention regimen,” describing the bruising as “benign and well-known.”

The same report also addressed Trump’s swollen ankles, attributing them to chronic venous insufficiency—a condition where veins struggle to return blood to the heart. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt later reaffirmed the medical findings, stating that Trump remained “in exceptional health.”

However, RadarOnline reported that insiders close to the president believe he is facing growing mobility issues and may soon require hip replacement surgery. Sources told the outlet that Trump’s physical struggles at 79 are “far worse than he publicly admits.”

Trump to undergo ‘physical exam’President Trump is scheduled to undergo a physical exam on Friday amid growing concerns about his health, which have been raised due to noticeable bruising and swelling in recent months. “On Friday morning, President Trump will visit Walter Reed Medical Center for a planned meeting and remarks with the troops. While there, President Trump will stop by for his routine yearly check up,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement Wednesday.

Trump, who became the oldest president ever sworn into office in January, has consistently claimed to be in good health. In a recent interview with Newsmax, he stated, “I feel the same or better than I did 30 years ago.”
