BEDMINSTER, N.J. – Led by junior Emma Tang claiming the individual medal, the Navy women’s golf team closed out its fall slate with a fourth-place finish Sunday afternoon at the 2025 Lehigh Invitational in Bedminster, N.J.
 
Playing at the par-72, 6,153-yard Trump National Golf Club, the Midshipmen opened the event Saturday by shooting a 19-over par 307 to end the first round in third place among a 15-team field. A 28-over par 316 team score in Sunday’s second round found the Mids finishing fourth via a weekend total of 47-over par 623, 14 strokes behind first-place Lehigh.
 
Starting the event with a round of 73 on Saturday before shooting 74 in Sunday’s action, Tang wrapped up the weekend with a 3-over par 147 score that matched Old Dominion’s Puneet Bajwa, with Tang earning the individual medal via a scorecard tie-breaker. Tang’s win marks her program-record third career individual medal.
 
Finishing as the second-best golfer in Navy’s lineup, freshman Angelina Kim posted rounds of 76 and 80 to garner a weekend score of 12-over par 156 and a share of 16th on the leaderboard.
 
With rounds of 77 and 85, sophomore Megan Kirkpatrick tied for 39th at 18-over par 162.
 
Finishing in a seven-way tie for 43rd, seniors Sue Lee and Hallie Brisco both collected weekend tallies of 19-over par 163 in the lineup, as Lee shot rounds of 83 and 80 while Brisco ended with rounds of 81 and 82.
 
Competing as an individual, sophomore Vivian Cressman earned her first career top-10 finish, using rounds of 78 and 73 to take ninth place at 7-over par 151. Also competing as an individual, junior Una Johnson registered a Saturday score of 79 before shooting a career-best 75 on Sunday, grabbing a share of 12th place with a 10-over par 154 outing. Rounding out Navy’s individuals, junior Keira Howard recorded rounds of 77 and 82 to land tied for 27th via a 15-over par 159 score.
 
Navy opens the spring slate on Feb. 23-24 at the El Campeon Collegiate in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
