Highlights | Round 3 | Bank of Utah | 2025

Hayden Springer has been on a run. Four birdies his last six holes. This on 13 to get to 10 under par. Surging up the leaderboard. He’s now within one. What a day he has had. Five birdies as well as he’s sitting at nine under par. This for birdie. Pretty slow putt up the hill and he has given this a big wrap. Wow. Right into the back of the cup. Ramming speed. Doesn’t matter how far it’s going to go by if it hits the back of the cup. Three. Good T- ball. Just 113 in for a second of the par4. This hole location’s getable. You can use the back stop right behind the hole. Just like that. Now getting better and better. Poe in there close. And at the eighth, former world number one amerkumi Kaya played great in Japan the previous event and he’s carrying it on. Look at that. So he moves to 11 under. Chipping. Trying to take the initial hump out of it. Hope that it just tiptoes over the hill here. Played it very well. Very quick, isn’t it? That last quarter over that little slope there. Yeah. Brena, next up, seventh fairway. Posing little back stop back there. Will it come back? Oh yeah, is exactly what he needs right now. George, what a shot. Nearly a kick in Eagle. Well done. Superbly played hole and a good comeback after a shaky start. Ringer this for another one. And so the projected number was 114 before that part after that eagle the previous hole. Like this angle a little bit better from more the left hand side of the fairway. Oh yeah. And she was playing alongside Lydia Co as well as a couple other notable names. There’s Rico Hoey in flight here on 13. And that’s about the only way to get it close to that hole. Landed into the little bowl down there where the flag was yesterday. And you’ve got to one hop it up top. And remember he hit a fantastic second shot at the par five seventh and made eagle. See if he can use that slope. That’s going to get a little deep into the green. That’s going to be a fast putt. But what a shot. Such a repeatable golf swing. And you know being so inexperienced on the PJ tour, he comes out and makes double bogey on the second hole. And then you know Johnson, he’s doing exactly what you need to do on the par fives here. take advantage of them. He’s had the eagle at the seventh and now had two But it’s an interesting hole location. I don’t mind it, Johnson, if you can get it past the flag and spin it back toward the hole. There is a false front that you really have to be concerned with if you don’t land it far enough. Yeah, Billy Ray, we’ve seen a lot of guys using that sideboard just like that. Maybe a bit unfortunate that it didn’t move closer towards the hole, but keep the speed up. Just get it outside the hole, but once it starts dying, it’s going to turn left. Bread and money. Four names at 13 under with a share of the lead. Cracking approach and he has recovered and needs a top 10. Doesn’t have any status. 10 under right now. Top 10. Rico. Oh, he’s done it again. Wow. Do not change that putter, Rico. Keep going while it’s hot. He’s got the ball position well back in his stance. He’s going to try to flight this down and catch the ball first. Nice contact there. This is a really good line. Oh my. Just needed to fly another three or four yards, Billy Ray. And that skips up to the hole. with this is it’s all the way back up the slope. Brennan burries it. He’s at 14 under a co-leader with Olison back at the 13th. Pat McCarti trying to make a late push to get back in this golf tournament going in tomorrow. And that’s back-to-back birdies. It’s once again in the mix. No. Brings it in low. Trying to skip it up over that ridge. Wow. Incredible. Didn’t need to use the back stop, Billy. Ray. My Austin Cook in full scramble mode. Deep on 17. That’s just a moment ago. All baby a Houdini like escape with a two. Rico Hoey also part of the conversation. Second hole, second shot to the closing hole. Oh wow. Able to get that to stop really quickly. So it could be Hayden Springer with a 62 and Rico Hoey one behind him a 63 at the 14th his second shot. This was the hole that he made Eagle on the final round a year ago to win the Bank of Utah championship. Nice touch there. Leaves it in the proper spot. Going to be putting up the hill. Solid round. Eight under par today. Climbing up to four. Power and touch. I mean, that’s Finn over there. You saw all those divots. It’s like a low area. It’s not the most perfect part of this golf course here at 15. Up one. Mccardi for birdie on 16. The defending champ filling it up. Bounce back birdie after that three putt at the 15th. Look at that. Up one. Mccardi on the box at 17. pass champ around this golf course. Defending champ. I do not see him taking this flag on. You want to hold that thought? Mccardi one hole ahead on 18. He’s been the only one we’ve seen get it close on 17 and keep it on the green. Oh, and that’s just a great leave here short of the hole. That’s going to be a very straight uphill putt. This putt should not have much movement at all. Good lag by Mccardi. Just a steady round out there today for Matt McCarti. Sort of hanging around on that front nine. Had the one bogey, two birdies on the front, and then jeez. Seven birdies and a bogey on the back. I was just thinking the same thing here. And now he’s got 188 front, 209 total. E2 trying to bring this ball in high. Just continuing to execute the shot perfectly, leaving it under the hole in the correct spot. He’s already had one eagle today. Will he have one more on his final hole? We’ll find out. Hits the coin. and lost a little bit of his speed there. What a round of golf he has put together today has Michael Brennan. Very impressive. Seven under par 64 coming in with your first ever 36 hole lead. Yeah, that was two shot lead. Johnson tomorrow could be lifechanging. It’s going to be a great day. We got some guys there with some firepower too. Rico, Hoey, Kevin U, Pearson Cudy, all played great rounds today. But Matt McCarti, defending champ, looking down, Michael Brennan in his third start. We’ve said it all week. It’s It’s going to be a special day. It’s what you’d want to see for this final

With just three tournaments left in the 2025 schedule after this week at the Bank of Utah Championship, every shot and every FedExCup point counts even more than usual. The field is chock-full of proven winners, up-and-coming stars and more as they take on the unique Black Desert Resort, which was cut through a lava field. Alex Noren is the top-ranked golfer teeing it up in Utah. The Swede won twice this summer on the DP World Tour and finished tied for 27th in Japan after joining Luke Donald’s leadership squad as a vice captain for the winning European Team at the Ryder Cup. Matt McCarty will defend his title in Utah after his breakthrough TOUR title a year ago. McCarty’s best finish of the season was a T4 at the RBC Canadian Open and comes into his title defense off a T14 in Japan, where he shot an incredible final-round 60 – which featured a run of eight birdies in a row. Joining them are other star players such as Australia’s Jason Day, Aldrich Potgieter, and Billy Horschel.
