HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) – Great Parks has completed a major renovation and expansion of the disc golf course at Miami Whitewater Forest, transforming it from a nine-hole to an 18-hole course. It marks the third comprehensive renovation of Great Parks’ disc golf courses in recent years.
“We are proud to complete another improvement envisioned by the residents of Hamilton County with this beautiful new course at Miami Whitewater Forest,” Great Parks CEO Todd Palmeter said in a media release.
The course now offers alternate playing options with two basket targets per hole, making it adaptable for different skill levels. New signage and concrete pads have been installed at each tee, and invasive species have been removed to make way for native trees and shrubs to be planted this fall.
The renovations are part of a series of upgrades requested by the public and supported by a 0.95-mill levy approved by Hamilton County voters in 2021.
