Chris, many many congratulations. You are this year’s winner of the Genesis Scottish Open. A massive feat. Tell us now you’ve had a bit of time for it to sink in. How you feeling? I feel great. Um, not much else to say other than that. I mean, proud of how me and Brady hung in there today. Um, it wasn’t going to be an easy task and and we were ready for it. So, it’s it’s just really fulfilling day. You did start your round with a bogey, which a lot of great round starts, funnily enough. That’s what it seems like. You found a few birdies along the way, but I’m guessing the bounce back after the bogey on 15 was a big one. Yeah, that was a big one. I mean, I’ve talked all week in my interviews after the round over here when 16 is my whole like I’ve parted, you know, Friday, Saturday, and I felt like that was going to be the difference today. And and Brady said, you know, he’s like, “All right, let’s make this one. This is, you know, this is it right here.” And and when I made it, it felt like it was my tournament to lose at that point. You did have a few guys trying to chase you down. one of course was a Grand Slam winner who you were playing with. Was that the extra kind of cushion you needed before going into 17 and 18? Yeah, I mean no cushion is cushiony enough unless it’s five, six shots, but um two is better than one. Uh so I mean I I knew I needed to hit the green on 17 and make a par. I mean that was going to be a really hard birdie for anyone to make a birdie on that hole. Um and then 18 I stepped up there and hit one right down the middle and and you know the job was almost complete by that point. What did you where did you draw strength? Because I know it was getting on the back nine there. You really needed to dig deep. Was it Brady? Was it reflecting on your win last year? I think um by the time we were at 145 and I was like I really have nothing to lose at this point. I am in a good spot. I’m playing well. Like let’s you know let’s step on the gas here. Um so to do that and yeah Brady’s been really helpful for me over the last couple months. So, I’m happy. I’m happy for him. And um and yeah, I mean, I talked all day, you know, mentally about just one shot at a time. One shot at a time. And and really just trying to stay in the moment. Um and I felt like I did a great job of that today. This is of course a massive Rolex series marquee event. The two join hands on this one. Your your name’s been etched on a trophy with a lot of great names. What does that mean to you to do it of course here in the home of golf? Yeah, it’s awesome. um you know, it definitely hasn’t sunk in yet in that department, but um I’m sure when I come back next year and um and even next week, you know, it’ll be it’ll it’ll sink in a little bit more, but it’s amazing. I’m I’m so happy to be a winner here. And um yeah, obviously involved with, you know, now DP World Tour a little bit more maybe. And um I’ve kind of talked jokingly this year that I would like to kind of play a couple more DP events. So maybe maybe I’ve earned myself a couple spots in some other ones. So we’ll see. We’ll see what happens. And I’m I’m really excited though. I’m sure you’ve had you’ve earned some spots. You’ve earned your caddy, a golden bib, which I’m sure he’ll love next time he plays on a road series. You’ve got the open championship next week. What have you learned this week going into that? I mean, I know I’m playing well. Um I don’t have I will have zero expectations going into next week. Um I’m excited to play an open. Um, but other than that, I’m really just, you know, my priority is getting myself restedish and and get up there. And then other than that, I mean, just kind of get settled in. Obviously, it’s going to take a couple days to kind of get back to earth a little bit. Um, but yeah, I’m I’m excited to go play in the open. All the best support, right? Awesome. Thank you. Appreciate it. All right. All right. All right.
