Our lead story this week comes straight from Tiger Woods. Who else? At this point, we got to start getting the uh the eco-friendly tag on all those posts. Whenever you see the the three uh red dashes, you kind of get nervous whenever you see it on social media. Tiger Woods getting another back surgery. Uh confirmed by his doctors the a couple of weeks ago. Uh he had another um dislocation or whatever the the term is uh a break or some sort of a disc collapse uh in his L4 L5. Uh compromised his spinal canal. He got surgery. He’s officially now in recovery. Um this is his seventh surgery on his back and I cannot tell you probably since 2013 which I for those of you like you might sound shocked by this but at the end of the day it’s once you have that first injury you’re going to have more recurring injuries in that back. It isn’t like you get it uh you get a surgery done once and all of a sudden it’s it’s all well and good. So not that we should have seen this coming. It’s a it’s a clearly a major um disruption to what we thought would be a not even a a tighter comeback, but a ability to just play more golf. I mean, we haven’t seen him play um since the TGL, but in a professional round of golf, he hasn’t played since the 2024 Open Championship. He played the PNC. He didn’t play in the Hero World Challenge. So, now with the schedule coming up, he won’t play in any of the fall events. He might play the PNC with Charlie. he might play um the Hero World Challenge come December. We don’t totally know where he is at that rate. Um he is expected to play on the TGL circuit starting in January. So, we’ll see where that happens. And obviously, there’s a lot less movement for Tiger. Um we don’t know about his current plans to play at his tournament at the Genesis, play in the majors, whatever it might be. Um, but I think that the real story here that we are that we need to think about is not that we knew that Tiger Woods was going to never hit the place that he used to be, right? Like we’re never going to see 2019 Tiger Woods ever again. We’re not going to see that major Masters comeback that was the the guy that we once wanted. But at the end of the day, the one thing that we do get from Tiger Woods now knowing the surgery has come up again is we kind of have more understanding of what’s he going to do now in his postgolf career. He’s not going to play with a golf cart. I can almost guarantee you that that nobody Tiger Woods cannot conceivably ever walk around in a golf cart. Um I don’t think he’ll ever play on the Champions Tour. I don’t think you will ever see him play professionally ever again. I just think this is going to be more of an opportunity for him to get into the boardroom, work more with Brian Rolap and the new roll out of the PGA tours uh heads of state. I just I cannot see Tiger Woods playing golf outside of the TGL. And the only reason for that is is the the wear and tear on the body. A B the idea that you Like he we even saw it when he play when he played with Neil Shipley at the Masters. First of all, that in of itself you we could talk about what majors will he ever play. I don’t think he’ll ever play a major ever again. I don’t think like he’s the only player to have played in the Masters 20 times and made the cut every single year. He’s not going to just go and play his two rounds of golf, miss the cut, and call it a day. He’s going to play golf if he’s going to win the event, which means that he will never play ever again. Sure, you’ll see him on TGL. He can walk five feet back and forth from the T- Boston to the green. That’s totally fine. You will not see him play competitively ever again. Um maybe I hope I’m wrong. 2027 is St. Andrews for the Open. Does he do one last victory lap? I don’t think he will, but that’s certainly up for speculation. Will he take on more of a role with Charlie in his golf game? Maybe. Who knows? um you’re not going to see him cattying of course, but as a coach or as a a mentor of some sort, there’s so many different ways that Tiger Woods can go with this. And I think people need to get over the idea of ever thinking that he will play a professional round of golf ever again. I think it’s a outlandish and far-fetched desire. Everyone wants to see him win 83. Great. Like you can you can wish on on that all you want. But I think the reality is that Tiger Woods is done as a player and is now going to move into a full-time coaching role or some form of mentorship for younger players, his son, and those to come. Again, seven surgeries in 11 years. Like this is like his back is more vulnerable than most people in a cemetery. Like he’s legitimately dead. He’s just he’s first of all, the guy shouldn’t have legs to begin with. I it’s remarkable that Tiger Woods is still even uh being talked about and honestly him posting on social media is probably going to win him the PIP again. Um which is again it’s Tiger Woods. He there will always be news surrounding Tiger, but you’ll see him in January. You probably won’t hear from him again until the Hero World Challenge when he does his media day. But as of right now, Tiger Woods officially uh dunzo when it comes to professional golf as far as as I’m concerned. Our big story as well following up with Tiger Woods. We have a lot of new faces coming into the the the fold this year on the PGA Tour in 2026. And I first want to start with this as now we’re getting into the frame of mind uh with with PJ Tour policy that it’s only the top 100 guys get a PJ tour card. Top 101 to 125 get conditional status. Top 75 make the Corin Fairy Tour final. This group of people of men make up a very interesting grouping because it’s the last time we’re going to see a this big of a field join the PGA Tour or even return for that matter. But it also might be one of the most interesting groups because of potential that we might ever see in the game of golf. So, we’ll start off with who’s returning to the PGA Tour. Uh, Austin Smotherman finished top 10 at the Corin Tour final, as well as Adrian Dumont Deas, if you reme remember from two years ago. He absolutely stunk me up with my rookie of the year prediction that he uh he ended up going one and done and going back going back to the KFT. He’s back. SH Kim and Hank Leota back on the PGA tour. Now, I get to the rookies. 26 rookies. You got a lot. Uh, I’m going to take this moment because I have a lot of time and because I’m sure people, if you watch this show, you want to get to know who are the people that are going to be fighting for uh for PGA Tour wins in the next few years. And I truly do think in my honest opinion, every single one of these guys will be fighting for a spot in the Fed Cup later on next year. A lot of these guys, a lot of talent. There’s a lot of young potential, a lot of newcomers who basically went to the corner tour and jumped right in to the PGA Tour. And we started off with Johnny Kefir, uh the the graduate from Baylor. He finished first in the KFT. He led the tour in top 25s, top 10s, and top fives. And he broke the he broke the record for single season scoring average at a 67.95. For reference, the PGA scoring average is a 69 flat. So this guy led by a over a shot over every single person on both the cornfairy tour and the PGA Tour on average scoring. He had a better scoring average this season than Scotty Sheffller did. Now I get it. Corn fair tour tracks versus PJ tour tracks. A little bit different. But I would actually argue that it’s almost harder to do because of the travel that is involved going from places like Illinois to South Carolina to Nebraska all in a three-week period. And then of course you you go to some whackass places in Argentina, in Bermuda, in Colombia and so on like that. So really impressive uh for Johnny Kefir to not only be be as young as he is at 22 years old, but to finish first in the Coronair Tour in his first full season and do what he did scoring average-wise. It’s quite impressive. Uh Chandler Blanchett, who finished second and actually won the KF KFT championship, uh he he played his D his Gavin D2 West Florida. He earns his tour card after his fourth season on the circuit. He was a multi-time winner while on the Corn Ferry Tour. He certainly brings a lot of um interesting momentum going into this now. Corn Fry Tour champion, multi-time winner. He’s 28 years old. He’s got a lot of experience in the golf world. Knows a lot of the guys that are now currently on tour that have moved up from KFT. So, he’ll he’ll make a immediate impact most likely. Amelio Gonzalez, he’s the sixth Mexican to earn a PJ tour PJ tour card through the corn ferry tour. uh he earned his status after three seasons, he will also be one of the more uh seasoned veterans entering the fold. Davis Chafffield, who totally besides the fact that he went to Notre Dame and I’m a Notre Dame stand. Um his profile photo on pjour.com is him wearing a Bruins 47 hat. Shout out to 47. Um that’s just a baller as and b I love the fact that he’s the first player in Notre Dame history to earn a PGA tour card. Huge huge ups to Dav to Davis Chhatfield. tremendous golfer, also an even better person from what I’ve um gathered from those from those who I know in Notre Dame circles. Zack Bashau, I’m going to assume that’s how I say it. Bashau or or Batau that he’s however you say it. Uh he earned his spot after four seasons on tour. He held a 36 and 54hole lead at last year’s Corinth tour finals. So certainly has a has had a opportunity going into this year. He missed out on his membership last year after holding that 54 hole lead. manages to get it back after this year. STO he earns his his membership. He was he made 21 cuts and spent eight years on the KPGA tour. So, he’s one of the I think he’s the oldest player uh joining the PGA Tour, but a long illustrious career on at at the KPGA. Many wins uh on the Asian circuit. Jeffrey Kang, he had two successful years on in the Coronary Tour. He’s the oldest rookie. So, there you go. Listed at 34 years old. He played four years at USC. Uh, but he took the long way to tour. He was the 2009 AJGA Rolex Jr. All-American first team golfer. For reference, Jeffrey Kang was on the same junior all-American first team with some names that you might actually know. Patrick Kentlay, Ameiliano Grio, and Jordan Spief. So now Jeffrey Kang gets to match back up with some of those guys that he used to play junior golf with. Uh, Ken Herata, he’s the fifth Japanese player to earn Petour status through the Corin Ferry Tour. He was at one point the 99th ranked player in the world. So he has one of the highest rankings going into his first season on the PGA Tour. He spent last year on the Japan tour and won four times. Became the third youngest player to achieve that fate that that feat only behind PJ tours, Rio Ishikawa, and Hadaki Matsyama. He also won the Corin Ferry Tour rookie of the year in 2024. John Vanderland joins the PJ tour to five years on the Corin Ferry Tour. He had four straight top 75 finishes on the KFT points list and has finally broken through. He played as Carl Golf at Florida Southern from 2014 to 2018. This is one of the best stories um of the group as well. Uh Sudoshan Yella Maraju. He is a Canadian Indian joining the PJ tour after two years on the Korean Ferry Tour. He didn’t go to college. He forewent his uh his collegiate career to turn pro at which is 19 in 2021. He was born in India. He immigrated to Canada. He lived in Winnipeg. He was a dual sport athlete in both hockey and golf and moved full-time to golf. He did not pick up a golf club though until 2007 when he was, I believe at the time, like 8 years old. And he got into the game by watching YouTube videos of professional golfers. Now, back now, of course, back then in the early dawn of YouTube, Good didn’t exist. Uh the the Brian brothers didn’t exist. Bob, those sports didn’t exist. So, he picked up a golf club through an interest in YouTube and has now managed to make the PGA Tour. Uh, so a really great story and a really good feelood story. It kind of gives a lot of um like Aaron Ry energy. Um, again, both both Indians uh by culture to be able to pick up the game and and treat the game like a love. Um, obviously Aaron Ry had the Iron Covers. He’s the one guy who like gets made fun of for it, but he was taught at a young age to really appreciate the game and um value his golf clubs. It’s really all he had. It’s a very similar story. It it feels and I love the fact that this guy’s going to be um on tour. It’s going to be a immediate uh love story in my opinion um as somebody who you almost can’t not want to root for. And then finally, Ponchos Niholm spent four years in the corner tour top 75 every year following his graduation from Campbell University in 2021. Go go go go camels. He becomes the ninth Swede to earn membership through the minor league circuit and joins the tour at 27 years old. He snuck in as the 30th man on the corn ferry tour points list because of a Chandler Blanchet birdie on the 18th hole. He overtook somebody else uh who fell off the 31st and Pon Niholm squeaks in by the skin of his teeth. So best of luck to the 27year-old Swede uh as he will make his debut on the PGA tour. Also want to shout out five more guys who all um yeah five more guys who you’ve you know who they are. Some of them were on the PGA tour for a short period. Most of them were not. They all had conditional status and now they’re all officially making their debuts. First of all, uh first team all fridge Neil Shipley finished fourth in the KFT. He’s officially back on the PGA Tour for the first time in his career. He’s getting early looks right now for rookie of the year. Uh Christo Lamperect, if you don’t know him, he’s the 6’9 golfer from South Africa who played at Georgia Tech. He will be certainly a a player to watch out for. He hits the ball a country mile. He’s one of the best players in the world, one of the best amateur players in the world. Pearson Cudy, his brother, uh Parker Cody on the PGA Tour. Uh Cody enters in, he had seven top 10s and a runner up at two events. He was one of six players finished in the top 20 in the points list without a win. He’s a former number one amid in the world from the University of Texas. uh his old college teammate Trace Crowe um former teammate uh he retains his his status on on the PJ tour and elevates his status for next year. Um he played his college golf at Auburn before going back and forth between the KFT and the PJ tour with conditional status. So he gets to um elevate his status to a full-time member rather than conditional from last year. And then my favorite story, Marty Dao, uh he was one of the first Chinese players to ever earn a PJ tourard. He won four times on PJ to on PJ China and he earned his way back thanks to a huge second half surge. He finished uh in his final seven events, five top 20s, including two runner-ups and finished in two runnerup finishes in his final three events. So Marty Dao is going to be somebody that you’re going to want to watch out for. One of the latest Chinese golfers to make it along with uh Neil Shipley, Crystal Lampre, Pearson Cudy, and Trace Crowe. uh five of the guys who honestly will probably be standouts next to the guys like Johnny Kefir, uh Davis Chafffield, and Chandler Blanchard going into the uh 2026 PGA Tour calendar. Geez, my wife’s having a coughing attack in the other room. Uh we’re gonna take a short break. I am still kind of recovering from my sickness. I am speaking relatively well. Uh but I am ready to go just absolutely hack it up for about 30 seconds. So, we’re going to take a short break. On the other side, we’re going to get to our clubhouse chatter. We heard a lot of things in the golf world over the last two weeks. I will break down the biggest stories for you. We have a new player in the golf world taking over a new tournament in 2026. Be sure to look your best from the ground up. We start off with what I like and Tommy Fleetwood takes center stage once again. Why can I not access my panel? This is annoying. All right. Well, there you go. See, now it worked. All right. Tommy Fleetwood starts off the day for what I like this week in the golf world. We got to tell you, I I I’ve loved Tommy Fleetwood for a long time. I remember when I got in into the game of golf. I mean, I was younger a long time ago, but when I f second time around got into got into the game during the beginning of co I remember the tour started back up at at the Colonial I believe in like June of 2020 and instantly I remember when the Mastros rolled around in 2020 or um and then 21 and I just got enamored with Tommy Fleetwood as a person with his golf game, his his swing, honestly his hair. Um, it’s kind of why I’ve been growing the hair out. Uh, but Tommy Fleetwood always struck me as somebody that I was really intrigued by. And it’s so great to see his meteoric rise now on the PGA Tour. Uh, in the last three months, bear with me here. He finished top five in every single playoff event on the PJ Tour. He won the Tour Championship for his first ever PGA Tour win. He went 4-1 and one in the RDER Cup and then last week he won the India Championship, the first ever golf tournament in the country of India. He’s the only player in the history of golf to have won in eight different countries. He’s won in India, America, South Africa, the UAE, Scotland, England, France, and Kazakhstan of all places. Tommy Fleetwood. Oh, and by the way, um this is this is a whole other bit here. In my opinion, has dethroned um Rory Mroy as the second best player in the world. That’s just my opinion as of right now. If you look at at active skill set, um I think he is the second best player in the world and should be according to the OGR better than Russell Henley and Shley. But that’s that’s that’s besides the point. Tommy Fleetwood has finally gotten the credit that he deserves as one of the greatest best players in the world. Can’t say greatest players in the world. Uh, one of the top players in the world. And quite frankly, if it wasn’t for Scotty Sheffler being who he is, Tommy Fleetwood would be number one right now actively. He’s been on an absolute tear. He’s playing the best golf career. He’s shown. And it’s a different kind of um praise for Fleetwood as I would give someone like a Rory Mroy or a Scotty. This goes back to what we were talking about with the RDER Cup. I think what’s the beauty of Tommy is that he doesn’t wow you from the general list of of achievements, right? He’s never won a major. He has one PGA Tour win. It happens to be a tour championship. But where the Europeans value team events and the RDER Cup and these other um international tournaments compared to wins wins on the PG tour and majors. I think that’s kind of where Tommy stands out. It’s very similar to like Luke Donald, right? Luke Donald only has one major. He’s won two Ryder Cups. Like he will always be looked at as a European legend. Tommy Fleetwood is in the same regard. He’s certainly a European legend. I wouldn’t call him an American legend. He certainly doesn’t have any of the um the majors or the American uh state side wins that you want to see, but again, only player to ever win in eight countries. He’s has a very long winning record in the RDER Cup. He’s won three Ryder Cups, I believe, or might be only two. Um, he is a tremendous golfer and he has officially finally gotten the deserving credit for being one of the best players in the world actively and one of the best European golfers probably in the last decade. Uh, for a long time, Fleetwood was was the bridesmaid, never the bride. He was always the guy who would make it so far and always come up so short. he you you would pick him in majors and he’d finish top 20, but he would never be able to kind of get over the hump. Now he’s finally got the I guess security blanket or the uh he he’s never lost the confidence, but he he’s now broken through the one time in America where now 2026 is going to be be his oyster. I think Fleetwood will win three times in 2026. I think Tommy Fleetwood will do incred uh he might be a frontr runner for a major and it’s solely on the fact that his form has been absolutely incredible. So I think there’s a lot of potential here for uh for Tommy to have a monster year next year. I also think uh that he has the opportunity to just do incredible things um in the future and continue to grow his overall persona both as a European legend and an NA American as well. What did I not like this week? Uh the story of Charlie Bjon. Now, this is has nothing to do with Charlie as a person. I think his story is incredible and I will um discuss it at length. What I don’t like is the PGA Tour’s um stance on what happened. So, those of you who don’t know Charlie Belon, he played uh he was born and raised in Arizona. He was an all he was a 2007 all-American at New Mexico. He won seven times back on the Gateway Tour. Uh he he earned his tour card back in 2011. So, he played a handful of years on the PGA tour. He was ranked at one point as high as the 64th best player in the world. That was in 2013. Uh he won the Children’s Miracle Network Classic at Disney World. He won by two strokes in that event. um suffered a panic attack after the second round of play and then still managed to go on and win the uh win the tournament. But that was kind of the story of his career. Uh constantly affected by panic attacks, suffered um from alcoholism. He had a medical exemption on tour through through mid 2018. Uh he eventually ended up losing his tour card and and bounced off the PGA tour. But his recent uh move has been to join the grass league. Now, of course, while the Grass League is a is a whole different league, there’s never been any animosity between the Grass League and the PGA Tour. Um, there also has never been a PJ tour player go and play on the Grass League. So, when this opportunity came up, uh, it turns out that according to reports, Charlie Beljon in a Instagram video that that he posted had to relinquish his PGA Tour status to go and join the grass league. Now, I don’t want to say this is a um a fooy kind of moment on Brian Rolap because it’s very early on in his um his tenure as commissioner of the PJ tour. But what I do think is kind of ridiculous is the fact that when this rolled around, nobody on the PGA tour’s new head ever thought to be like, should we address this before he relinquishes his status? We know where the PDO stands currently with Live Golf. There’s really no real animosity at this point. Bygones are bygones. We let live. if we let live there there obviously has been issues with live golfers trying to get back on the PGA tour. I mean there have been guys who have Monday qualified for tour events. There are guys who have played in cornfairy tour events. There are guys who who are playing in Q school actively but very similar to the situation with like Wesley Bryan being suspended by the PTA tour for taking part in content series with live golf. There’s still clearly some ties that need to be figured out. But this story, very similar, honestly, to the Wesley Bryan story, it it it hits me the wrong way because I don’t like the fact that they did not do anything to try and make the situation better for Charlie. It’s a big deal to have PJ Tour status. Again, we’re talking about it now. like there’s only a hundred players in the world who have full-time status now on the PGA Tour. Now granted, like as a member of the PGA Tour, he lost his card, but he still had conditional status. He was able to play on sponsor exemptions. He’s now officially fully relinquishing his opportunity to go play on the PGA Tour to take part in a par three golf league. Now, to no fault of the Grass League at all, they’re a great organization. are doing great things, but I hate the fact that as the first PGA Tour player, first former PJ tour player to go play in the grass league, you had to relinquish your status when you haven’t really done anything on the PGA Tour in years anyways. I think it’s a a joke. I think that Rolap needs to address this. There needs to be ways to allow for this kind of stuff. We talk about in business and we talked about it in the past, these players are independent contractors. They can go and do whatever they want to do. Now, granted, yes, they have to follow the guidelines of the PJ tour when it comes to playing in their events, but at the end of the day, you’re your own boss. Why does the PJ tour feel inclined to treat these guys like full-time salaried employees and can tell them where they can and can’t go play golf? I think it’s ridiculous. So, I don’t like the fact that Charlie Beljon had to relinquish his store status. I think his story is great. I think what he’s doing for his career is great, but the fact that PJ tour is standing idly by and saying, “Oh, yeah, you need to relinquish your status.” is absolute What’s also is Brandle Shambbley once again getting in the ear uh of folks in the golf media space. Uh last week on the Treywingo podcast, Shambbley criticized Bryson Dash to Shambo for not being quote unquote must-see TV. He said that uh if Bryson vers Rory or Bryson vers Scotty, they tune in for who? Bryson or Rory? Bryson or Scotty? To say Bryson is much TV is poor. Now, Brandle, you see, brother, you clearly have a very one-sided opinion on the matter and a very linear one at that. We know you don’t like lift golf. We know you don’t appreciate or respect the people who who debated to lift golf. I also know that you probably don’t watch YouTube enough to know that Bryson Nambo has a much larger following than most people on the PGA Tour, if not everybody on the PGA Tour. Certainly his YouTube followers are massive. I’m going to talk about something in 30 seconds that probably had more views than the PJ tour event this week in Utah. I think that while no one’s watching live to begin with, it’s his content that makes him mustwatch. You tune in, you tune into the content series of him hitting a hole in one over his house, hitting a ping-pong ball into a shockup for underdog, a break 50 video with the president or with Steph Curry or Tom Brady or whoever, the match that he’s going to get involved in. if he goes and plays the skins game that’s now coming back to um to Amazon might very well um put him on there. I think that Bryson is absolutely mustwatch TV and I think Brandle Shambbley has a very one-sided opinion on this and I think it’s very foolish of him to think of golf in that regard that it is that it is not more than television because let’s be honest people are also tuning into the TGL tuning into the grass tun they’re tuning into other mediums of golf to get interested in the game. So, you’re telling me that I don’t know, Tiger Woods now being solely a part of PGL cuz he’s not going to cuz he’s not going to play play professional golf again is not mustwatch TV. It’s not PJ tour, but it’s another medium. It’s TV, but it’s Is it Is it pro professional organizations? No. So, who’s to say that that that Bryson on YouTube isn’t Must Watch TV? Plus, you could stream everything. You can I can go right now to my Xbox and watch YouTube on on my Xbox. Same way that I watch Paramount and I watch uh Netflix and everything else. So, Bryson’s absolutely must watch TV. That brings me to what I saw this week, and I’m not going to give away spoilers. Bryson and Steph Curry matching up for a Break 50 video probably went exactly the way you expected it to be. First and foremost, Steph Curry is so good at golf. Like, I’m It’s amazing that I’ve been playing the playing this game for 15 years, more than that, and I’m still so bad at golf. Steph Curry is the best one of the best basketball players in the world and is a scratch golfer. Like how like I I don’t know what what like where in the gene pool did I go wrong to not be able to play golf? Like I was okay at baseball growing up. I was okay at football. I wasn’t a superstar. But to watch some of these athletes play golf like who blessed Michael Jordan to be a great basketball player and a great golfer and a baseball player. Who blessed Bo Jackson to be good at baseball and football and Deion Sanders? Who blessed Steph Curry with the ability to be a scratch golfer while being a full-time basketball player? That’s it. It’s It’s phenomenal. So, good on Steph Curry. Uh he drove the green on the first hole, a 320 yard par4. Like the it’s in my opinion one of the best break 50 videos. cuz I don’t you I don’t usually watch YouTube. Uh but it was one of the better break 50 highlight videos that I had watched um next to a few others. I thought thought the Trump one was really good, but to watch how good Steph Curry is is as a golfer and match him up up a Bryson I think was really a uh a tremendous tremendous story. So yeah, there’s the clubhouse chatter for this week. Two other topics though that I want to get into before we get to our beer money picks and these should take up um a pretty good chunk. I want to first start off with the newest player on the fall FedEx Cup series in 2026. Good good now owns the GoodG Good Championship that’ll be played in Austin, Texas in 2026. I did not have this planned on my bingo card at the beginning of the week. To be quite honest with you, I had no thoughts or expectations that this would happen. Uh they’re going to be playing from on November November 9th to the 15th at Barton Creek Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas. Uh at the Fazio Canyons course. This story is way bigger than just a YouTube golf brand getting a tournament. Now, first of all, they’re they’re returning to Austin, Texas for the first time since the Dell match play. They used to play be played at Austin Country Club. The the fall events, while they don’t typically feature some of the biggest players, they are still going to probably put together a pretty good feel for this. Um, it’s crazy how Good Good Good has managed to become this brand considering it started only 5 years ago. It is the fastest growing YouTube channel in the sports realm, particularly in golf. In March, they announced a $45 million funding round by Creator Sports Capital aimed to expand good good golf across content, retail, and live events. According to ESPN, according to founder and CEO of GoodG Good, Matt Kendrick, the tournament is designated to amalgamate our social lives and live communities together across all demographics that are passionate about golf. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner of the Pour and Omni Hotel and Resorts who not only appreciate our ethos, but embrace it. uh the while we’ve seen while we’ve seen good good in the past and both their players uh and also their overall content be displayed in PG tour circles they were in the creator classic I know Garrett played Brad Dulkkey played um the fact that they have enough money now to purchase a event which they probably run a pretty good penny um particularly for a brand new event a but also just like title sponsorship naming I believe I forget who took over the naming rights for a uh for a recent event, but it ran close to I think like $12 million, I believe it might have been or more. I think when AT&T expanded on their partnership with Pebble Beach, it was like $15 million. So, it’s incredible that they have that, but also they own a grass league team. Like like the Dallas Horsemen are owned by Good. I think it’s a crazy like how this brand in 5 years has managed to become the fastest growing YouTube channel in sports owns a really successful apparel line in big sporting goods and shields and other places that you can go and get apparel. They have a golf tournament. They have insane content and they have a grass league team and they’re only probably just getting started. They’re probably going to end up getting more involved in other avenues as well. So, incredible stuff from GoodG Good. Props to them for doing what they have managed to do. Um, and honestly, I’m pretty excited to see what happens at the the Good Championship. Who’s going to win it next year? We’ll see. Uh, and I’m curious to see who will be in the field with uh with 600 Fisca points on the line or to to maintain status or possibly gain status. Who knows? So, that that’ll be a really cool uh great story. Let’s get right into our beer money picks presented by our friends over at Kenwood Beer. Well, oi, where are we at today? Uh, beer money brought to you by our friends over at Kenwood Beer. Everyone needs that one great beer for any occasion, right? Well, Kenny has you covered with a crisp, cool, refreshing logger that’s just as original as their desire to put a modern twist on a on the original logger. Head to kenwoodbeer.com. Use the Kenny Tracker to hash grab a Kenny with us at Underground Sports and use uh the Kenny Tracker to see where you can find your uh ice cold Kenwood Beers at your local stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, and beyond. We get right into our preview of the Black Desert Golf Course uh in Utah. Uh there’s a lot of good things to come um out of this tournament that I’m really excited about. Obviously last year Matt McCarti won the first time tournament. We had spoken with Brad Taylor about the black desert championship and blat black desert resort. Um now owned by the by Utah bank as as the title sponsor of the event. Uh 7,300 yard par 71 this week at Black Desert Resort. Uh Tom Weissoff Design. Some comparative golf courses. Uh TBC Summerland in Las Vegas, PJ West and Lintita out in California. Um Country Club Jackson, Craig Ranch, TBC Scottsdale. It’s a very narrow golf course with a lot of that like molten lava rock uh all over. So, the fairways are quite narrow as well as uh there’s not a lot of rough to begin with. So, keeping it straight is going to be a very important play here. Uh approach play is going to be huge. Birdie or better game. It’s going to be a putting contest. Your proximity within 150 yards. It’s not a very long golf course. It plays uh a lot shorter due to that elevation of course out in the Utah Mountains. And of course, the putting statistics are going to be uh massive here. Want to quickly recap last week the two weeks ago actually at the Bay Current U. We hit our ladder parlay for the first time in show history. So shout out to us uh hitting the Kaya Grio Torbjornen ladder parlay as well as a Fagala top 30. We also narrowly missed out on Toyar top five. So we’re just doing pretty good going into the fall series so far. We have six six picks correct. And with that being said, we get right into our top 20 selection and we begin the betting with Christian Bzaden Hoot, who I think has a great opportunity to really uh jump off the page at this golf course. Now, Besiden Hoot in the past has had some pretty good track records at places like Summerland, Craig Ranch in the past. He’s a well-known putter. He’s one of the best putters on tour and is certainly above average in that regard. And honestly, his distance is not very long, but he’s incredibly accurate. His approach play is really good. The on the green play is great. I love uh Christian Bazaden hood here a plus 135 for a top 20 finish on top of the fact that in his last two events uh at the Sanderson Farm Bay current he has two bad top 10s. So I’m feeling pretty good about this Aiden who going into this week top 10 selection. I’m going with the man down under Jason Day uh for at plus 275 for a top 10. Again fits the profile here really well. I’m really interested in seeing where his game is. This is his first time playing uh since the BMW championship. He did not make uh the tour championship. The putting has not been the best for him as of late, but he has gained strokes uh in six of his last seven uh last eight events. So, a lot of good things going for him. Um he usually we usually don’t see him play in the fall series, so to see him uh tee it up now is a really good surprise and it’s a nice thing to see. uh in terms of like recent track record. Um he has played relatively well uh at TBC Scottsdale in the past. So I do expect a good opportunity here for him to be able to play uh some pretty rock solid golf going into the week. So top 10 selection for Jason Day and hopefully hopefully that putter continues to stay hot for J Day. We go to a top five and in my opinion this is the best guy in the field this week. I took him to win at the Bay Current. He let us down. Uh he finished he finished 48th, but he still has had a really good run as of late and a lot of it has come from an incredibly accurate and long driver. I’m going to go with Kurt Kittyama for a top five. He’s plus 360 on the polls. The putter is a question. Uh but he has gained strokes in three of his last four events where uh where we’re able to calculate um his overall putting stat putting statistic. But he’s where it’s really mattered is that his approach play and his around the grin off the tea all of that has amalgamated into a on average over 2.2 strokes gained total statistic which I think will really play well um into this golf course. The key is going to be keeping it straight for Kittyama. He’ll certainly be able to bully the golf course and play it long. Uh but but if he can if he can keep the keep the ball straight that will really be a major um impact to his overall game. Our game selection this week I’m going with Ameiliano go back to the well top 20 selection for him at plus 150. Go again has been playing some really inspiring golf. A really accurate a really accurate driver and a good putter of the golf ball. He locked in a top 30 for us at the Bay Current. I think he could certainly get up to a top 20 this week in a pretty weak field overall. Uh if you look at the odds board, it’s kind of rough odds across the board. So to see go closer to the top 20 players out there. Um if the putter can stay consistent, I’m pretty sure he he’ll be able uh to get the ball rolling and do a pretty good job. Our latter parlay this week, a top 40, top 30, top 20 finish. For a top 40 finish, I’m going all the way down the list. I’m going all the way down. And I’m taking a big big pick here. And I’m shocked that he’s he is as low um on this list as he is. I’m going Oh, where are we? There we go. Top 40. He is plus 100. I’m taking Patrick Fishburn for a top 40 selection. Our top 30 pick, I’m going to go with with Mark Huard. uh who’s sitting right at around even money. And then for a top 20 pick, I am going to ride with Misner at plus 180. I think all three of them will be able to combine for a pretty good low score. So we are going to go with Fishburn top 40, Hubard top 30, and Meer top 20. We finally get to our winning selection. And I need to edit that. Oh my god. Uh we are going to go to our final selection. Our winner at the Utah Bank Championship. And while I want to go really badly uh with Michael Torbjornson here. I’m forced. My hand’s pretty forced. Uh I’m going to go with the guy who’s the far better putter and the more accurate player at that. You could argue he probably he got snubbed for the RDER Cup. I don’t think so, but he certainly uh fits the bill of of somebody who I want um at this golf course. Matt McNeely uh who currently leads the odds board at 14 to1. I think he has the best opportunity to win this event. The putter is the best out of anybody towards the top of the field. I think it’s really him and Alex Norin who have the best putters um out there amongst the guys up top and the accuracy is great. The driving distance is solid. I would look at somebody like a Rico Hoey as well, but the putter is just not consistent there. Uh for me, I’m going to ride with the top of the with the top of the odds board. might be a copout, but I’ll go with Matt McNeely to win the golf tournament. If I if I had to give you somebody who’s a little bit further back on the odds board that I think could be um a sneaky play. Let’s see who I would go with. I’d probably ride with Ameliano Go in this case honestly um amongst the guys who are up towards the top. I’ll go with McNeely to win Pazen who top 20 that is day top 10. Kittyama top five go top 20 for the gimme our 40 3020 is going to be Fishburn Hubard and uh Misner and our winner is Mav McNeely that’s going to do it all for beer money. Shout out to our friends over at Kenwood Beer. And I want to get to our final uh our last putt of the day. And I want to give a final shout out uh to a very interesting golfer that I’ve been watching for a long time and I found very interesting and his story um has kind of inspired me to a degree. So Bo Hustler was on pdour.com a couple weeks ago and I got really curious about um oh like what’s Bo doing uh on PGA Tour and he was telling this story about how he was really struggling with his golf game and his mental psyche was kind of getting a little bit like whacked out. he was struggling um overall and yeah he ended up going to Costa Rica on an Iawaska trip and now I had heard PG tour players were micro doing on shrooms uh for like health benefits but I didn’t really believe it very much and then I hear be going on this uh this Iawaska trip well he comes back and he discovered a a love well he reignited a love for coffee now the story behind Bo Hustler was uh he had gone far and wide for at tournaments wherever he would go. Uh he would always try and find the best coffee. So going to places like Tokyo or going to Kona, uh according to the the bio of his his company, which I’ll tell you in a minute, he said, quote, “At tournament stops around the world, Bo made it a personal mission to seek out the best coffee experiences each city had to offer. From tucked away cafes in Tokyo to mountain farms in Kona, he immersed himself in in conversations with farmers, roasters, baristas, and cafe owners, learning what truly separates exceptional from the average. Bo took detailed notes as a customer, a curious learner, and an observer of what made each interaction special. What stood out wasn’t only the bean or the brew. It was the people and the passion and the precision behind every single cup. So, Bo Hustler launched a new company called Boista. And I will tell you right now, I am buying some goods from Brista and I will try them on the show live uh in due time. I promise. But the story and the the coffee that he’s selling I think is is really cool. Uh I I’m looking here. He has one called Drive-Through Meltdown. Uh it has hints of nectarine, molasses, and cocoa. He has Coffee Snob, which is peach, vanilla, and raspberry. four figures, which is uh berries, caramel, and it’s like like nutty tones, Indian and arrow. It’s a creme brulee, red fruit, and cacao, which I’m certainly going to be trying. Um, all the bags range from roughly about like $10 to $11. Um, you can also buy uh memberships that are available through Bista uh barista coffee.com. You can go check them out. Uh, membership perks include 10 to 20% off subscriber uh coffee. You get a free ROAT for weekly and bi-weekly members. Uh you get 50% off your first monthly subscription. Uh auto enrollment into into their newsletter, sneak peeks on collabs and drops. I think this is a great story and I think that it’s awesome to see a PJ tour golfer getting involved in something outside of the game of golf and really kind of expanding his scope a little bit. Um so Bo Hustler, shout out to you. I love your story. Go check it out his story at pjour.com. I’ll link I’ll link it here in our description to go and check them out.
