If you’re looking for swing advice, Paige Spiranac remains the gold standard. And she proved it again this week with a simple, smart tip for one of golf’s toughest shots.

The former pro golfer and two-time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model shared a new Instagram reel Thursday showing her 4 million followers how to master the “dreaded 50-70 yard bunker shot.” Her advice? Put down the sand wedge.
Instead of reaching for your 58 or 54, Spiranac recommends grabbing a less-lofted club — something like a 50-degree wedge, pitching wedge, or even a 9-iron.

“It’s essentially the same technique as a green-side bunker shot,” she explained, “but now you don’t have to worry about distance with a less lofted club.” She then demonstrated the move, effortlessly popping the ball out of the sand with perfect control.
The tip is pure Paige — fun, accessible, and easy to follow for golfers at any level. It’s also another reason why her tutorials stand out. There’s no gatekeeping and no jargon, just genuine help delivered with her trademark charisma.

And, of course, she did it in true Spiranac fashion. Dressed in a cream cropped polo tank and a mint mini skort, she completed the look with white sneakers, crew socks, and a high ponytail — a mix of style and substance that’s become her signature.
