[Music] from the perfect spot really. Matsyama down the first. Oh, and it was the perfect spot. Unbelievable. Straight in the can. [Applause] Well, that’s a move and a half on the first hole. Yeah. Back from for two over far back to level. That didn’t take long, did it? I tell you what, there’s going to be some serious work needed on that hole now to repair it. Muzzi, this is at the ninth. He started at the 10th. He was out in 39. And this is for a three birdie finish in the last six holes for him. He’s going into sat there at minus two. 108th on the race to Dubai. [Music] Means so much. You can see it there. The emotion just pouring out of him. and it’s only Friday, but mentally he would have thought making the cut is probably all it takes. Yes, we’ve had some good winners this season. There’s a few young stars coming through as well, which we might lose to the PGA Tour sadly, but we are breeding winners. It’s no question on the DP World Tour. Here’s another one, I’m sure. Pit Patrick. Loads of potential and we love that. He’s got a lot of energy about him as well, doesn’t he? To the ninth. Im coming to the end of his round. Third shot for the tournament leader. That pulled up very quickly. Cockril at the sixth uphill. Second shot here. 349 yards. It’s really a good birdie chance in the player’s mind this one. It is there. So much so that you can have that one. So this is one coming back for our leader. Won’t be once this drops. He’s going to have a share of it. Still a good day’s work. Round of 67. More red than black on it. Let’s go over to Daniel Hillier from uh New Zealand from Delhi to here though was really only a couple more good swings away from maybe another victory on tour last week. One wild one down the par five 14th cost him everything. Ended up in a share of ninth. Hong now you know what’s going your way. He’s going to just hold this one up there. Power fader of the ball. Traps it. Compresses the ball. Lovely. Rocking an eight iron here. Yeah, virtually whole height. Yes, there will be one, won’t there, that that does it back end of this season. And we’ll get that card. Great put from S battling away. Big improvement that stat shows in putting yesterday and today. First birdie of the round drops at number two for Haong Lee and he’s out in front alone. Hopefully the last shot of the day for Adam Scott. This is for a par at the ninth. Well done. 35 home. Six birdies he had today. Threw a few bogeies in though. Couple of drop shots, but that all in all that’s good stuff. 67 today after a 74 yesterday. [Music] Quite a look at that autuminal look Anthony in the background there. Yeah, it’s a beautiful time of year, isn’t it? Campio’s needing this. He’s a plus two. There you go. Plus one. Couldn’t believe that. But never have known. No, but seriously, I mean, it was coming round right in the middle of the hole, wasn’t it? Yeah, I was in all the way, wasn’t it? Good shot from Halton. Up ahead to the seventh, Aora, the young Spaniard. this seventh split. 212 yds to the pin today with the pins sort of 16 on not very far but it’s Oh, get in there you beauty. That was unlucky. You would have learned a little bit of Hideki and just this one how it just moves off to the right. So just left edge butt dribbler or just left half firm. Well done. Never easy when your shadows over the hole. always find it would found it difficult to sort of pick a line when it was like that. I wouldn’t say ai this is not easy. Anthony Wool saying a nasty spot to be and it’s very true. Look at that. No chance from there. He almost just didn’t take it on. He thought I’m just going to gouge us out and give myself something back up the hill which is I think the right way cuz he could have left it in there I think. But the up and down for Halton there you see unusual stat only player in the field to be bogey free. Will he stay that way? Another one who’s over read the putt. So an annoying bogey really. But the fault I have to say was the T-shot. It was a poor layup. Slow up the hill. Left to right. Two good putts in a row. One for Birdie, one for Bogey. to those two players. Good shot. Nicely done. Out Lee to stay at seven under. Unusual miss for him. Back to back drop shots that couple of 4footers missed. Yeah, I think he wants to keep this in the hole and firm. She has done the T- shot on the next hole is the one that would have worried me. [Music] I like the way this man chips though. So aggressive. Get up and down out of a garbage can. Hong Lee, don’t let me down. No, he didn’t let you down there. Played that lovely. Left us in a firm for Halton Lee. Don’t let me down. Good to wear. [Applause] Also putting from above the ridge downhill. Just might have a little bit more right to left. Well read both of you over the back of this green. Full length of the green is disposal here. going a low route runner. Well, that was not his best run. A long way for Howong Lee. He’s going to fall out of the lead. Seven under right now. This will be back to six. [Applause] Oh, the caddy was getting excited there. 12th. 70 yards to the flag here at the 12th. Not a long hole, short hole. A little bit same sort of shape as the sixth, isn’t it really? Yes, it is. Up the hill. It’s It’s a bigger green, so there’s more chance of doing that. Yes, that might help the mood. Now Lee from 18 in takes the lead again. Well, this is a quick one right here. It’s landing on a down slope off of a down slope. 7 8 ft past the hole would not be surprising. But I thought he’d putt it. He chipped it in. What do I know, Jay? That was highly unlikely to happen. Let me tell Aora that’s from 234 yards to to today’s pin which is on the right today. That will just come around a little bit left to right towards the hole. That’s an excellent shot. Yeah. Putting it breaking off the left here. All it’s not far off. Oh, beautiful. He’s missed a fair few putts today. He is. Another good read though, I have to say. Left to right, all the way. Do what you just seen there. Knows how much this is going to break off the left. Got to fancy him for this now. Not happening on the greens. No, it isn’t, is it? It’s pouring them in yesterday. Well, this is an interesting one. This green really does fit a cut shot. 234 yards today. That’s excellent. That’s a great shot out here. Ball not going to be going as far as it was earlier. That’s for sure. Just pretty straight putt this one for Hal Tong. Keep it firm like you said, Wally. Straighter and firmer. Yeah, I think when the greens are a little broke a lot, didn’t it? Yeah, did it? I think when the greens are cut up a little bit. I think I think Alli mentioned it as well. I think it is a good way of final hole. Hillia to go into the third round. Tied for the lead as it stands. He’s got it. Well done, Dietri just skipped through the bunker. Managed to wedge it to here. So, a good chance to get back to two under and only four behind. One of our co-leaders Lee over at nine trying to put the final touches on his day that for par the steps and off it goes. This is horrid all the way on that left hand side. Got to pitch it in the fringe and hopefully it just dies. Something died. No. on a little cupy bit to the right of this green on the up slope. Sorry, you got me giggling now. Yeah, both those Hong was biting his tongue like you wouldn’t believe after that first chip cuz it’s not going to get any easier. Yes, it might get a bit firmer and a bit a bit play a bit shorter, but these putts as we’re seeing are tricky. It’s going to get windier on Sunday. I mean, not unplayable, but it will make a difference at a club or so on on the holes. 6571 level par in the end. Yeah, two good rounds of golf for how Tong Lee continues to impress with a win this season in Qatar as well. He’s got every chance this weekend. Yeah, that was over his playing partner today as well of Raasmus Negard Pettison. David, a 73 for your Friday’s morning work here in South Korea. Um, try and describe how you’re feeling after that round. Uh, a lot of emotions. It was It could have been probably one of the worst rounds of the year and it’s probably turned out to be probably one of the best rounds of the year. Uh, considering my start through 10 holes. Actually didn’t play that bad. I hit one bad shot on 18 off the tea. went out of bounds, but I just two putted every green for the first 14 holes and made a one putt on on five, which was my 14th, and then hit an amazing shot for for me because I my misses right and with the water all on the right on seven and then hold like a 40footer. Settled the nerves down a little bit and then birdie up the last was sweet. You were five over through 10. Can you try and tell us mentally where you were at that point? Not not here, I’ll tell you that. Um, yeah, I felt like I’ve been playing solid golf the last probably 3 weeks and I just thought if I can just put really good golf swings for the rest of the round, I’ll be I’ll be fine cuz I know the putter is thereabouts. I know I didn’t haul anything, but at the same time like hit good enough good putts they’re going to drop eventually and just glad they did. You’re going to keep your card for next year. I saw Dan Hillier give you a big hug there when you came into recording. try and describe the relief you’re now feeling. Uh yeah. Yeah. I think I’m going to get a much better sleep tonight. Let’s just say that. Um yeah, and then also those boys have got a lot to play for as well, so it’ll be really cool to see what they do in the next couple weeks. And I’m just glad to have a job next year. Let’s just say that. Great to see a smile on your face, David. And good luck on the weekend. Appreciate it. Thank you. Cheers. Matsuyama barely smiles after his incredible shot ! ☺
Do miss the long well hit drives, or is this another course like in india where the driver is not needed?
What a thumbnail lmao. Keep it up
8 players sharing😳 the lead
"Golfers lose their jobs" as a thumbnail on an English speaking channel is meaningless nonsense. Everyone just sniggers.
Greens are in great shape
When a commentator say that when the ball is really close to a hole that is a gimmy is he being literal or is that a rule?
go Sungjae!
