David Lipsky feels right at home at altitude — just like in Las Vegas — and it shows. After a quick swing tweak with his coach to stay in posture, he delivered sharp iron play, steady putting, and capped the day with a nine-foot eagle on 18. Hear how a small adjustment turned into a big boost of confidence heading into the weekend.

got any anything else there? Um, luckily it was a little into the wind which actually helped helped the shot so it sort of took long out of play so I could just hit it as hard as I wanted to. Um, and pulled off the shot, got the right bounces and yeah, I think it trickled up there to about 8 n feet. So unique setup here and then playing at elevation. what are the course conditions out there and I guess comfort level being from out in this area. You know, it was nice that um where I live in Vegas and here very similar altitude. So my numbers are really easy. It was really easy. You know, it’s it’s it’s actually I have to convert when I go back to sea level now. Um so it was really really comfortable. You know, all my yardages, all my clubs today and then the course is in great shape. You know, greens are pure. They’re rolling. They’re firm and fast. And uh the course is overall is in great shape. Did you feel pretty good about your game coming in? Uh, yes and no. Um, we had to I had to do some uh work on Tuesday and Wednesday with my coach. Um, he figured something out, helped me uh strike the ball a little bit more consistently, a little bit straighter, and uh, you know, it’s I guess it worked out. Was it a pretty simple fix? I mean, sometimes it’s just adjustment. I just need to stay in posture a little bit better. I was coming out of the shot. So, my coach and I, we we worked on some things to help me, you know, keeping my spine angle uh through the through the shot more so, especially the longer the club gets. And did you hit it good? Yeah, I must have. I think I hit pretty well. My iron play and my approach play today was pretty was excellent, I’d say. And uh just got to try to keep going the rest of the week. There you go. Your Eagle put at 18. Obviously the was what was the length and how how were your how was your putter figuring in your score today? Um I uh I had like a ninefooter I think uh up the hill a little bit left to right played it left edge and uh went in right center. Um it was actually uh I I hit it close a lot today so I had a lot of tap and birdies. I also had like Oops. Yeah. I also had quite a few like mid-range putts like 10 to 15 feet and uh burned a lot of edges today. So, I was really happy to see that last one go in and give me some confidence going into tomorrow. It always says it could have been better, but here you are in a good place. Exactly. Good. Good. Thank you.
