With barely a single blade of grass out of place, Adare Manor has become something of a bucket-list course for golfers…
It’s widely renowned as one of the most pristine golf courses in Europe and the host venue of the 2027 Ryder Cup. But can you tee up there? Here’s how to play Adare Manor.
Located in County Limerick in Ireland, the Robert Trent Jones Senior-designed Adare Manor was refurbished in a big way in 2015 by famed American architect Tom Fazio.
The layout was kept mostly the same, but every tee, bunker, green and water hazard was given a serious makeover.
The result is a feast for the eyes and a playing experience that is almost unmatched. The fairways look like greens, while the green surrounds are so pure it is hard to distinguish where they end and the putting surface begins.
It was always regarded as one of the top 100 in Ireland, but it now ranks among the best 50 golf courses in the UK and Ireland and promises to be a superb Ryder Cup venue.
What we say…
Here are the thoughts of the Today’s Golfer panelists: “I would be amazed if anybody was unimpressed with the condition of Adare. Even in November, the greens, tees and fairways were pristine – the rough, too! The back nine is full of intrigue, contrasting with a slightly bland opening section.”

With all this in mind, it should come as no surprise that it is not cheap to snag a tee time at Adare Manor.
How to play Adare Manor
There are a couple of pre-requisites for playing golf at Adare Manor. The first is that you have to stay on-site in the stunning Manor House. The second is that you must hire a caddie.
The course is now closed for winter and will only open for five months on May 26, 2026.
You will need to visit the Adare Manor website to see the cost of the rooms, while a tee time will set you back a further €550 ($640/£480), with caddie rates set at €120 ($140/£100).
