You are not imagining things, the game of golf gets longer every year. Especially on the PGA Tour where the longest hitters in the game of golf average 303.3 yards off the tee and the longest hitter averaged 324.8 yards/drive last season.
Distance off the tee is just one component of the game but with that in mind, today we are looking at the longest PGA Tour golf courses for the 2026 PGA Tour season. Interestingly, the #3 longest PGA Tour golf course won’t host an event this year. Just minutes ago the PGA Tour announced the Sentry will not be played this year (at Kapalua) and thus the Sony will be the first event of th season.
15 Longest PGA Tour Golf Courses
It won’t take long before the PGA Tour stops at the longest course on tour this season. The PGA Tour’s Farmers Insurance Open is held at Torry Pines on the North and South Course and it is the South Course at 7,765 yards which lays claim to being the longest of all PGA Tour golf courses. But let’s check out the top 15!
15. Detroit Golf Club – Rocket Mortgage Classic
Coming in at #15 on the PGA Tour’s longest golf courses is Detroit Golf Club which plays at 7,370 yards for the Rocket Classic. That will be held from Jul 30 – August 2 and the reigning champion is Aldrich Potgieter from South Africa in a 3-way playoff.
From the regular tees, Detroit Golf Club plays 7013 yards which is still long but certainly manageable. Those extra ~300 yards for the pros really add up though with the 17th hole, a par-5, playing the longest.
14. Memorial Park Golf Course – Texas Children’s Houston Open
At #14 is the Memorial Park Golf Course which is listed at both 7,412 yards and 7,475 yards so we’ll go with the shorter measurement here just to be safe…
Min Woo Lee is the reigning champ at that tournament, his only career PGA Tour win. He ranked 16th on tour last season in driving distance at 313.8 yards/drive on average.
13. TPC Craig Ranch – CJ Cup Byron Nelson
The CJ Cup Byron Nelson at TPC Craig Ranch brings in the heavy hitters. Scottie Scheffler is the reigning champion of that tournament and it ranks 13th among the longest PGA Tour golf courses at 7,414 yards, just two yards longer than the one above.
In that video above, you can see how the course sets up for the PGA Tour tournament. Scottie is obviously one of the longer hitters on tour but he also never gives away strokes around the green. Craig Ranch isn’t all about bombing the ball.
12. TPC Twin Cities – 3M Open
This course was designed by Arnold Palmer and it’s a relatively new course, in the grand scheme of things, having been built in 1999. It measures 7,431 yards on tour and is the 12th longest of the PGA Tour golf courses on the 2026 TOUR schedule.
11. TPC San Antonio (Oaks Course) – Valero Texas Open
The third TPC course on the list is TPC San Antonio (Oaks Course) which hosts the Valero Texas Open and plays at 7,438 yard for the PGA Tour players. This course was designed by Greg Norman and Sergio Garcia and it has a slope rating of 76.6 with Perennial Rye/Chewing Fescue grass out there to challenge plaeyrs.
10. Shinnecock Hills Golf Club – U.S. Open
This year’s U.S. Open will be held at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club which ranks at #6 on the Most Exclusive Golf Courses in America list published here at BroBible. Shinnecock will clock in at 7,440 yards for the U.S. Open and the rough will be brutal. It will be a pure test of everyone’s skills and there will be carnage. We cannot wait.
9. TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course) – RBC Canadian Open
Host of the RBC Canadian Open, TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course) is the fourth (and final) TPC course on the list and it plays at 7,445 yards making it the 9th longest PGA Tour course on the 2026 schedule.
This course is has par-5’s as bookends, starting with a long par-5 on the 1st tee and ending with another of the four par-5s on 18. It makes for a very fun test of distance but also risk/reward comes into play on 18 for any players looking to make a jump up the leaderboard.
8. Dunes Golf & Beach Club – Myrtle Beach Classic
At 7,450 yards, Myrtle Beach’s Dunes Golf & Beach Club is the 8th longest PGA Tour golf course on the 2026 schedule. This course is the annual host of the Myrtle Beach Classic and arguably the nicest golf course in Myrtle Beach depending on who you are talking to. It is definitely worth playing for anyone in that area if you can finagle a tee time.
7. Bay Hill Club and Lodge – Arnold Palmer Invitational
One of the best known courses on the PGA Tour schedule is the Bay Hill Club and Lodge, home of the annual Arnold Palmer Invitational. I daresay this course has some of the best tees of any course in the annual roation if not the best.
At 7,466 yards, Bay Hill in Orlando is the 7th longest PGA Tour Golf Course on the schedule this year.
6. East Lake Golf Club – TOUR Championship
Another fixture on the PGA Tour’s schedule is the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta which is home to the TOUR Championship. I feel like this course gets a little overlooked because of the odd formats they have used in the past but it was at the center of the golf world this year when Tommy Fleetwood secured his first-ever PGA Tour victory there.
East Lake GC measures 7,490 yards for the pros making it the sixth-longest PGA Tour golf course in rotation, even if the field is limited.
5. Grand Reserve Country Club – Puerto Rico Open
At #5 on this list is the Grand Reserve Country Club in Puerto Rico, home to the Puerto Rico Open which is an alternate field event running parallel to the Arnold Palmer Invitational. It is certainly of interest that tow of the 7 longest golf courses on the PGA Tour host tournaments on the same week.
Grand Reserve CC measures 7,506 yards and is an absolute behemoth for the players not at the Arnold Palmer.
4. Quail Hollow Club – Truist Championship
Host of the Truist Championship (and various major championships), Quail Hollow Club is home to the infamous ‘Green Mile’ and measures 7,538 yards, making it the 4th longest golf course in the PGA Tour rotation. I love this course, I think it makes for a great TV product, but I do think that in years when it hosts a major championship it should not also host a regular tour stop and I think the same goes for any other course double dipping.
3. Augusta National Golf Club – The Masters
At 7,545 Yards, Augusta National Golf Club is the third-longest golf course played by PGA Tour pros. It is not a PGA Tour event but an invitation-only major championship filled primarily with current, former, and future PGA Tour members. I was able to go to my first Masters this year, a Tuesday practice round.
2. Muirfield Village Golf Club – The Memorial Tournament
Coming in at #2 among the longest PGA Tour golf courses is Muirfield Village Golf Club which hosts The Memorial Tournament. This is a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course hosted annually by the Golden Bear himself.
At 7,571 yards this is a true test for all of the longer hitters on tour. Shorter hitters will struggle on the longer holes but Muirfield isn’t all about length, everyone knows that. They will still need to properly place shots in order to navigate the course without blowing up.
1. Torrey Pines Golf Course (South Course) – Farmers Insurance Open
The longest golf course on the PGA Tour, as mentioned at the start of this article, is the South Course at Torrey Pines. Home of the Farmers Insurance Open and other tournaments throughout the year, the South Course at Torrey Pines measures 7,802 yards.
This isn’t just the longest course on the 2026 PGA Tour schedule, Torrey Pines is also one of the most picturesque in La Jolla. Tiger Woods won his 2008 U.S. Open here. Is is the #40 ranked public course in the United States. And a bucket list destination for ever lover of the game.
