All told, there are 40 covered bays at the range, with 36 featuring technology that helps golfers track their distance. A new learning center features classroom space for camps and other training programs. The center also includes two bays with simulation systems that allow players to improve their game and virtually play famous courses from around the world.

“This is not just a golf range anymore,” Stuart said. “We’ve now taken and offered the opportunity for families and for young people to come out and enjoy the game.”

In his remarks, Mayor Dyer thanked Stuart for championing the improvements, saying Dubsdread is not just a course; it’s a community builder.

Dubsdread added a snack bar at the turn, which will also serve those practicing at the range. The golf course has an interesting history and celebrated its 100th anniversary last year.
