Worcester, Mass. – For the second straight tournament the Rams found themselves in contention for victory on both the individual and team leaderboards Monday and Tuesday, as Fordham University Golf finished fifth out of 12 teams in the Crusader Classic at Worcester Country Club.

After play was delayed, and later suspended on Monday due to inclement weather, opening round action concluded Tuesday morning, with the Rams sitting second in the field. Second round action would follow immediately after, with a pair of Fordham golfers nabbing Top-15 finishes as the fall season winds down.

Kieran Cummins led the Rams, tallying his first collegiate Top-10 as he placed tied for seventh in the 67-player field. Cummins tallied a three-under opening round, and finished the tournament one shot over par, just two off of the podium places.

Liam Howard finished in a tie for 15th to help the Rams’ score with a consistent two rounds, one shot ahead of Patrick Ginnity, who competed as one of two Fordham individuals, tied for 21st in the field, helped in part by an even par score in the final round.

Jack St. Ledger would place tied for 36th as the other individual, taking three shots off his score from his first to second rounds, placing just ahead of Luke Brower, tied for 44th and AJ DePaolo tied for 47th. Tucker Silva rounded out the group for Fordham, tied for 56th in the field.

The Maroon and White close the fall slate Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 27-28 with the Iona Invitational in New Rochelle, N.Y.
