Fair price but not the most forgiving clubs. I’d try talking him down to $200 because the “classic” clubs are the type you’d buy for a few bucks at Goodwill. Driver and irons are good enough to get you started.
Surprised he isn’t throwing in the bag, in that condition the bag is basically worthless.
I recently went from a base 9.0 to a 10.5 degree driver. The ball hits itself. Bottom line.. drivers made 2021 and after just make the tee box easier. I did dial up my 10.5 to 12 degrees and it’s been a blast!
