WEST POINT, Miss. – The Razorback women’s golf team is tied with Florida for first place (-8) at The Ally at Old Waverly Golf Club (Par 72) in West Point, Mississippi.

Junior Abbey Schutte (-3, T4) scored Arkansas’ lowest round of the day, a 3-under 69, and is one shot behind the trio of leaders after the first 18 holes. The Goodyear, Arizona, native birdied three times on the front nine and three times on the back nine, but picked up a double-bogey on the par-4 fourth hole and a bogey on the par-4 18th hole.

Senior Reagan Zibilski (-2, T7) and junior Maria José Marin (-2, T7) each shot a 2-under 70 in the opening round and each eagled. Zibilski eagled on the par-4 fourth hole and José Marin eagled on the par-4 11th hole. Each also had three birdies and two bogeys.

Swetha Sathish (-1, T10) picked up from where she left off last week and added another round under par. The freshman finished strong with three straight birdies to close the opening round.

Anna Kate Nichols (-1, T10), playing as an individual, turned in a solid round with a trio of birdies and a pair of bogeys.

Sophomore Clarisa Temelo (+5, T57) struggled throughout the round and was 6-over until a birdie on the par-3 17th hole put her at 5-over.

The second round tees off Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the first hole.
