EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Belmont women’s golf team leads after the first round of the Braun Intercollegiate held Monday at the Oak Meadow Country Club in Evansville, Indiana.
Belmont carded a 305 on Monday to take the team lead after 18 holes. They are three strokes ahead of UIC and Southern Indiana, who are each tied for second place at 308. UAB and host Evansville are tied for fourth place at 313.
Three Bruins are among the top-15 after Monday’s play. Graduate student Chloe Tarkany and sophomore Sloane Biddle are tied for second place after each shot an one-over par 73. They are two shots back of the individual leader, Camille Rosier of UIC (71).
Tarkany posted one birdie and two bogeys in her round, while Biddle had an eagle, two birdies, and five bogeys.
Sophomore Sophie Skoog is tied for 14th place after shooting a six-over par 78.
Freshman Lauren Davis and junior Paige Hammarstrom are both tied for 31st place after carding an 81.
Sophomore Emilee Swagger, competing as an individual, is tied for 50th place after shooting an 85.
