WEST POINT, Miss. – The Sam Houston women’s golf team head to wrap up 2025 fall season at The Ally, beginning Monday, at Old Waverly Golf Course.
The event, hosted by Mississippi State, will consist of 54 holes and is a three-day tournament with 18 holes being played each day.
This 6,284-yard, par 72 tournament has been played since 2020. The course has been ranked Golfweek’s No. 1 golf course in the state and among the publication’s Top 100. It features narrow fairways, water hazards and greenside bunkers. The Bearkats have placed 6th in the two years of competing in this event.
The tournament consists of 15 teams with six teams being ranked top 50th in the NCAA. The teams include Arkansas (10th), Cal State Fullerton (49th), Florida (27th), Georgia Southern, Jax State, Iowa, UL Monroe, Mercer, Mississippi (14th), Southern Miss, Troy, Vanderbilt (9th), Xavier, and the host Bulldogs (13th).
Last year, the Bearkats finished sixth shooting 24 over par. Amelia Guo led the team at this event a year ago, shooting one under and tied for 15th. Gracie Heinle also took part in the event, placing tied for 36th with a score of +8.
Live scoring will be via Scoreboard by Clippd with updating scores throughout the round as well as the results at the end of each day. Bearkats will play alongside Troy and Jax State at 8:30 a.m. in a shotgun start.
