SAUCIER, Miss. (UNLVRebels.com) – Junior Ryan Abuan sits in the top 10 after UNLV men’s golf completed Saturday’s first round at the Fallen Oak Collegiate being co-hosted by Ole Miss and Southern Mississippi at Fallen Oak Golf Club (par 72, 7,480 yards).

REBEL ROUNDUP: Abuan’s 3-under 69 for the day currently places him in a tie for seventh and just three shots off the lead. Following Abuan in the Rebel lineup are junior Zach Little (+1) in a tie for 42nd, as well as seniors Trevor Lewis (+2), Wyatt Plattner (+2) and Brett Sawaia (+2) all in a tie for 59th. As an individual, junior Mason Snyder (+7) ended the day in 78th.

DAY-ONE LEADERBOARD: LSU holds the team lead at 15-under 273, while its own Gunnlaugur Arni Sveinsson (-6) took the day-one individual lead. As a team, UNLV (+2) goes into the second round at ninth place in the team standings.

UP NEXT: The tournament continues with Sunday’s second round.
