The Wildcats put on an impressive showing on day one of the Stanford Intercollegiate, led by freshmen Kinsley Ni and Sara Vitasek. The Cats sit comfortably in third place after a 6-under par round. A great way to start this tournament full of highly ranked teams.
Kinsley Ni cards a 67 (-4) that included five birdies and a hole-out eagle on hole nine. She is tied for second and just one shot behind the leader. Sara Vitasek had a great first round shooting 2-under and finishing tied for 7th.
Nena Wongthanavimok finished 1-under par after a couple bogeys down the stretch. She is tied for 15th after five birdies and four bogeys. Charlotte Back is 1-over par after paring her first nine holes. Julia Misemer shot a 74 and is tied for 54th.
Kinsley Ni is leading the field in par four scoring average through 18 holes. Sara Vitasek had the second best par five scoring average out of the 100 player field.
The Wildcats will begin tee off at 8:25am MST tomorrow.
