so what exactly is Li angle and how do we change it well L angle is the difference between the ground plane and the shaft plane so the angle that is created in between the shaft and the ground now to change L angle we obviously need a loft and line machine first thing we’re going to do is slot the iron into the Loft and line machine making sure that the grooves are completely flat and level once we’ve got that nice and tight we’re going to slide on the measuring device onto the Sha making sure that it’s obviously completely flat and level and clamped nice and tightly then straight away we’re going to get a loft and Light reading of the iron then if we want to actually change L angle we’re going to get our bending bar and we’re going to tighten it around the huzzle now we’re going to bend either down or up depending on where we want to go so if I wanted to go flat I’m going to be pushing down and as I do so we can see the L angle starts to get flatter down towards more 59 if I want to do the opposite and go upright I push up on the hudle and again there you can see the lle starting to get more upright up to 61.5 now we’re going to actually physically bend the metal depending on where we want the L angle to be

Can you adjust the lie of cast iron heads ? Some say only forged clubs can be adjusted.
Thanks for the video! Do you know if it's possible to bend a Cobra King Tec Utility Iron with a graphite shaft more upright?
i have a 0 path. face is always 3 degrees open. can I upright my lie angle by 3 degrees to help? do lie angle degrees translate directly to club face degree? im assuming yes. I'm also 6'1 playing standard length. i feel like ill hit with the toe down. im at the point where i think i need a fitting since my swing has become consistent. still using my 1st and only set of irons ever. sim2s
Question, can the lie angle alone have an effect on strike point? I ask because i recently purchased a second hand set of p790s and suddenly am CONSISTENTLY hitting every single shot from the toe and they are going weak and right. Not an issue I was having with my previous irons at all. If not the lie could it be from one club having midsize grips vs the other having standard?
Pretty cool that you respond to the comments !
I noticed the loft is changing as well, as your bending the lie. Is it common for the loft to change just from adjusting the lie?
What’s the maximum amount of lie angle adjustment available on a forged iron?
So confused. If you want the club to be flatter, wouldn’t you push up? Toe more down is flatter …
Would you have a problem bending a 2021 p790 iron 1 degree. My local pro shop thinks they could crack 🤔
What lie angle would you consider making an adjustment? My lie angle on the gc quad is averaging 8 degrees toe down at impact but I’m told it won’t make to much difference.
do anyone know where would be best to have this done? A pro shop, driving range etc. and do they let you do it yourself or you have to let them do it for you as a charge. Also i had a fitting for a driver but asked for a brief check on my irons and they guy said i need my irons "1 degree flat", is there a chart for standard lies and then go +1 degree from that or do lie angles vary between sets/brands?
