MARSHALL, Mich. —

Hosting the Marshall Masters along with the men’s team, the Albion women’s golf squad’s ‘A’ team came within one stroke of winning the inaugural event.

Trine’s ‘A’ squad won with 324 strokes, while the Britons notched 325.

The Albion ‘B’ team placed third with a stroke total of 342 in the six-team field in what was their final tournament of the fall season.

Anna Schaibly continued her outstanding freshman campaign by shooting a 74 to place second in the field representing the ‘A’ team.

Peyton Sage paced the ‘B’ squad with an 81 that was good enough for a tie for fourth.

Aubrie Schaibly tied for sixth with an 82 for the ‘A’ team, along with Taylore Wilson.

Gabriella Davis (83) and Marissa Genske (85) rounded out the top 10 and were on the ‘B’ squad.

Julia Sambaer (87) and Payton LaRowe (88) notched scores for the ‘A’ team, while Rowan Bluhm (93) and Zoe Autore (93) posted the remaining scores for the ‘B’ squad.
