LAS CRUCES, N.M. (October 14, 2025) – Another under-par result highlighted the second round of the NMSU Golf Iconic Classic today, as the Northern Arizona women’s golf team shot a collective three-under to move up the leaderboard by one spot.
The Lumberjacks sit at six-under after two rounds, just one stroke behind Sacramento State (-7) and four behind fellow Big Sky member Northern Colorado, which fired a stellar nine-under today. Samantha Colombine of UNC carded a bogey-free 64 (-8), with six birdies and an eagle.
Boise State continues to lead the tournament at 15-under, shooting three-under in the second round. The Broncos hold a two-shot lead over UC Irvine (-13).
Amy Hodgkins had the low round of the day for NAU, picking up birdies on holes two, four, eight, and 15 en route to a 69 (-3). She jumped 25 spots on the leaderboard and is now tied for 15th.
Frankie Dezis also turned in a red number, carding a 71 (-1) with four birdies of her own. Her even-par total moved her up eight spots into a tie for 32nd.
Nina Lukyanenko and Lizzie Neale both shot even-par 72 in the second round, each recording three birdies. Lukyanenko sits at 5-under for the tournament, tied for seventh place, while Neale is at 1-over and tied for 37th.
Sumin Kang matched her opening round with another 74 (+2), bringing her 36-hole total to +4, tied for 57th.
Ava Bates, competing as an individual, carded a 77 (+5) and is tied for 84th with a two-round total of +9.
The Lumberjacks will play alongside Santa Clara, Sacramento State and Houston Christian in the final round tomorrow. The shotgun start will begin at 6:30 a.m. MST with live stats available via Clippd Scoreboard.
