The Clutch Pro Tour season enters its final two events of 2025 and Robert Brazill is looking to grasp them with both hands and break down some barriers heading into next year.

The Mizuno Championship at Al Zorah kicks off the Playoff Series today before next week’s Tour Championship in Al Ain brings the curtain down on the business end of the season where precious HotelPlanner Tour cards and starts are handed out to the lucky few.

For Brazill, a return to the sweltering climate of the UAE will also come with some good vibes as he was in red hot form during the early Middle East swing where he began the season with finishes of 3rd and 11th. This came just weeks after he notched his maiden professional win at a mini tour event in Spain. Now coming towards the end of his second season as a professional, the 28-year-old is bullish about his game.

“I prefer to play in heat, my game is better suited to it,” said Brazill. “I had a great start to the year. The season overall it has been a great improvement since last year. I have progressed quite well, having a top-3, top-10s and some chances to get over the line was a great boost from last year.

“I have progressed very well mentally but I would have loved to have had a couple of stronger finishes in the middle part of the year.”

The middle part of the year is where things stalled for the Naas man who has missed his last six cuts ahead of the Clutch climax which leaves him at 35th on the Order of Merit.

There are extra points available over the next fortnight as he, James Sugrue (9th), JR Galbraith (23rd) and Paul McBride (33rd) look to cement a position in the top-10 with the top-3 players earning a HotelPlanner Tour card while players ranked 4th to 6th will have seven HotelPlanner Tour starts to play with next year too.

For Brazill, getting his hands on some HotelPlanner Tour starts would mean the world as he looks to cling on to any break he can get knowing opportunities are hard earned at the lower rungs of the golfing ladder.

“If I have two good results I can push myself into the top-10 on the Order of Merit. For me, a top-10 would be everything. It gives a chance of getting funding for next year and that plus a few HotelPlanner Tour starts would be like gold dust for me. It would be great to finish the year off strong and give a bit of positivity going into next year.

“I feel my game is strong enough to get a career out of golf, it’s just about getting that opportunity. I’m good enough to get more from golf than I have so far.”
