A high handicapper reviews the Lab OZ1 HS putter after 30 rounds. The insert is firmer, offering more feedback and requiring less stroke. Its stability on mishits is a surprise, with forgiveness on par with the DF3. #golf #putter #review #golfgear #labgolf

What surprised me most is the stability. I’ve been gaming the DF3 for over 30 full rounds now. And if you want to see a complete unbiased review from a high handicapper actually playing real rounds on course, check it out here. But already I’m really liking the insert in the new heel shafted lab. It’s firmer, gives more feedback, and I need less of a stroke to get the ball to the hole. Strike is the biggest difference. DF3 has that muted thud, while the OZ1 gives a crisp, clear click, sometimes even a talk. It’s sharper, more responsive, and gives instant feedback. What surprised me most is the stability. I thought the smaller head might twist or wobble on mish hits, but it’s rock solid. The forgiveness is right there with the DF3. Looks wise, the OZ1 is the easy winner for me. It’s cleaner at a dress, easier to aim without the shaft cutting across the ball, and it just looks nicer in the bag. Plus, it actually fits easier in the bag compared to the chunkier DF3. And yes, you can still scoop up balls with the back. Always a bonus.
