MCKEAN, PA– The Gannon men’s golf team was victorious for the third time this season, today capturing the Bud Elwell Invitational championship on their home course. GU will now get ready for PSAC Championships, which starts just four days from today.


The Italian Stallion: Giovanni Delorenzi (Reggio Emilia, Italy/International School of Modena) was one shot off a career day, carding a 67 en route to a five under finish on day two. A 67 was one off his career best round. Shooting three under for the tourney, he won the individual field by three strokes. 
Right Near The Top: Rasmus Seppanen (Bastad, Sweden/Akademi Bastad Gymnasium) ended the day in second on the leaderboard, ending the tournament at even par. 
A Near Leaderboard Sweep – Gannon took home five of the top six spots, as Kyle Westfall (Erie, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy (Erie)), Jacob Wolak (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock Area), and Mattia Parrini (Verolengo, Italy/Verolengo) went fourth, fifth and sixth respectively. 
Team Dominance: Gannon shot just two over in the final round, ensuring momentum heading into PSAC Championships.
