The CKB WA PGA Championship presented by TX Civil & Logistics Round 3- Round Highlights
with Will Floro. An opportunity for a birdie here with this spot. Well, Welshman Austin Batista on the par three fourth hole. He had an amazing scorecard yesterday. A lot of colors, a lot of birdies, a lot of bogeies, but a wonderful T-shot there which sets him up for an early birdie. And Jay McKenzie had three pars to begin the day. Then on the fourth, next hole, this is Curtis Luck, the Western Australian, his approach to the par four. where he started the day at six under par. Aggressive shot right over the flag. And will he pay it off with a birdie six feet down the hill? Yes, he does. Seven under par. And our leader Jay McKenzie after that birdie on four. This was his third into the par five six setting up for another birdie. He was five under through the opening nine. This was on the 11th for another birdie and no troubles there. Great to have your company. We’re taking a look now at Curtis Luck. He’s playing his first event since the open earlier in the year and couldn’t really get two more different events. Euan, it’s incredible to be playing this well and scoring this well when you don’t don’t have any reps at all under your belt. And he I know he missed the cut at the open championship. As we take you ahead to Will Floro here, his third shot on the par 511. A little too close to the action as great work there from Jay. [Music] Beautiful roll. Oh, what a bounce back. Shows what I know. You’re just trying to lag it up there. Why don’t you just hold it? That was uh a beautiful stroke. He holds the putter so softly, Curtis. It’s just a great look over the ball kind of putter. Just watch this. The face is way open. Just going to rotate through. Create a lot of spin. No doubt. He did get a lot of spin. Just carried it too far. But the width he has, the spin he has, the rotation. Luck now, his third shot on the 11th. Well, he left himself in perfect position there. Beautiful little pitch on. He thought he’d hit a little too hard, but looks like he might be in a bunker down there. Not surprising. Coming up a little shy, but that was a lot of loft for a 35 40 m bucker shot there. He’s got a fairly lofted club in his hand. It’s a good angle to his back right pin though. And what a shot he has played here. Thank you very much. That is amazing. Beautiful technique. Go to Rumford. Similar sort of style, different angle. Peppering it. Taking in low. Try and get it all the way back there. I was just going to say no one looks cooler than Jimmy Emanuel out here. But the the wedge shot that Curtis Luck hit there, Jimmy. Chip on nine was the same. 72 right up the middle of the green for Jay. There you go. Right on Q. Beautifully played. Controlling the distance. There’s bunker and a waste area over there. And looks as though he’s avoided both of those. Do it. Oh, wow. Getable, Yuan. Yeah. Move. It’s moving to the right. A little more break than I first thought. He’s seven strokes behind. And I mean, he’s having a great week inside the top five. But as far as winning is concerned now. Curtis’s third shot. Made it. And he’s got the putter out. Come on, Ramy. We wanted to see the flop shot. I know that was the smart play and it’s excellent, but think of us. Come on. Here it comes. I’m walking it in. Yeah. Yes, we’re watching. He loves the camera. Austin, he’s so much fun to watch. You just never know. I would say he won’t be going too close to flag hunting. One less club. Oh yeah, that was all over it. Creek bed in front of the green which he’s avoided and chased it up onto the surface. That’s a wonderful approach. Something like a a pitching wedge here that he’s going to try and sort of drive into that hill. Kind of bellied it. I actually think that’s a pretty pretty good result. And here it is. It’s coming back. I think that’s pretty well done. Classy shot just as he called it. If it doesn’t fade, it’s fine. And that is no problem at all. Oh, cracking shot. Beautifully done. If you do do go a little too far right, there’s a ridge over there that’ll kick it down towards the hole. Anyway, Oh, it’s a decent shot. I told you I was still knocking inside him. He’s done just that. Beautifully played. Absolutely. It is human. 99 m left here. Driving another one in low. It’s going to get it all the way there. It’s going to be a good looking shot if it spins. I’ve got a a job for you in a sec, Jimmy. There’s a gentleman behind Jay McKenzie who hit a putt with a sign that says, “Hi, Bob.” But it’s upside down. So, you may want to go and just tell him to flip that around. Well done. You got a lot of players there. You’ve got potentially four or five players now at seven under par depending on if that was an eagle for Ty Gingrich. But a few birdies also a couple of bogeies. I mean he does a lot of teaching as we’ve said and that one sounded a little clunky for Brett and for him. I know that looks like a good shot on your screen, but it’s probably about a four out of 10. Jimmy said he’s got 247. Got the iron out here, and that’s a good looking shot. Is it going to get all the way there? Wow. Wow. Go. Beautiful shot. Closing his eyes. Of course, super here. He’s never had these greens better. And this is probably where the pin’s going to be tomorrow. He’s done pretty well. We did see Will Floramo two putt
