Which Numbers Matter Most for Your Game?-John Hughes Golf

My long term partner, flight scope, supplies me numbers, not only as a coach, but
as a player. Supplies you numbers too. Arcos, my long term partner, supplies me numbers. Which
number is more correct? Which one should I use John Hughes 0:21
in today’s day and age of golf, there’s more and more data being thrown at us, and Arcos
and flight scope do that for us. And I get the question a lot, John, if I have to invest in one
or the other, which one’s more important? And my answer is, they’re both important. One’s important
to understand what you do on a day in, day out basis. The other one is important to understand
real time data. The two combined provide you information to practice more efficiently, to
practice specific skills, and to understand that, where is my game trending while at the same time,
how is it improving? For flight scope, it’s about improvement. It’s about understanding averages.
I’ve got eight iron in my hand. I’m not feeling good. Today. Been a long day. Backs bothering
me, as you can see, I’m not making excuses, but if I know that my eight iron, which normally
travels about 141 42 is today only going about 125 it’s good information to know. It’s always good
to know what your averages are. But when it comes to skills, this is where our coast comes in. Are
you hitting enough greens? If you’re not hitting greens and you’re short, then maybe the data from
flight scope should be telling you to pick another golf club. If the data from our coast is saying
you know what, you’re hitting, a lot of, lot of drivers. Short, short, why? That’s where the data
from flight scope can tell you whether it’s path, angle of attack. The two in concert work really
well together, and it makes a complete package for you to be able to understand how to put your
practice sessions together, to hit less balls and be more efficient. That’s why I use both, and
that’s why I partner with both. But I think you should be doing the same thing as well, not just
when you’re coming here for coaching with me, but if you’re serious about your game. Both
of these numbers are equally important. If you have questions comments, leave them below.

can, not only to understand the numbers, more importantly, how the numbers in US
can help you improve your golf skills.

Why choose between Arccos and FlightScope when both help you play better? In this video, I show you how to use on‑course trends (Arccos) and real‑time swing/ball data (FlightScope) together to practice more efficiently, pick better clubs, and track real improvement over time. I’ll explain when averages matter, when live feedback matters, and how to turn numbers into skills you can trust on the course.

What you’ll learn

When to trust averages (e.g., your true 8‑iron distance on a “tired” day) and when to lean on real‑time data.

How Arccos reveals patterns like repeated short misses and low GIR, and how to correct them with FlightScope insights (path, angle of attack, face‑to‑path).

A simple way to build efficient practice sessions: fewer balls, more purpose, faster improvement.
