When it comes to chipping and pitching around the greens, there’s probably no better than Jason Day. At least he’s one of the best anyway. He talks about something called dead hand chipping. Now, that basically means reducing the amount of wrist action in the chipping motion and trying to use the bigger muscles and keep the club in front. Now, really nice drill for that. We’re going to take a towel. I wouldn’t recommend this drill for full swings, by the way. What we’re going to do is take the towel underneath our armpits. Just get a feeling that the club is being moved by our chest and that tile is going to stay nice and tight to us and we’ll hit a shot. Pretty decent. It’s a really nice way to control arc height and I can tell you from experience under pressure it’s so much more reliable. So give it a go and don’t forget to follow for more.
