SEARCY, Ark. – Harding’s Dennis Staykov claimed the Great American Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week honor, the league announced.
Staykov, a junior from Sofia, Bulgaria, captured his second-straight Golfer of the Week accolade after he finished second at the MWSU Holiday Inn Express Invitational. He posted rounds of 2-over 73 and 2-under 69 to finish at even par. He made six birdies for the tournament and eagled the par-4 fifth hole to jump-start his second round. His 4.00 par-4 scoring tied for the tournament best.
