Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational Day 2 Results



STOCKTON, Calif – The North Dakota State Men’s golf team finished in 14th after the first 36-holes of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational at the Reserve at Spanos Park on Friday afternoon.
 
Rylin Petry (74-73—147) led the Bison in round two, improving his round one score by one stroke. Petry added three more birdies and 11 holes at par to finish +1 on the day. Petry climbed one spot up the leaderboard and positioned in a tie for 50th at +3.
 
Jake Skarperud (73-74—147) is tied with Petry for 50th at +3. Skarperud leads the team in holes at par for the event, after picking up another 13 in the second round to finish the round +2.
 
Gabe Benson (74-75—149) and Carter White (76-76—152) are the final scoring Bison for the middle round. Benson shot two birdies and 12 holes at par to finish +3 on the day and sits in a tie for 64th at +5 overall. White added 12 holes at par on day two to finish +4 and is locked in a tie for 82nd at +8 heading into the final round.
 
Andrew Ballou (73-77—150) is the final NDSU golfer of the tournament. Ballou had one birdie and 12 holes at par to finish +5 on the round and is in a tie for 75th at +6.
 
As a team, NDSU (294-298—592) is in 14th of 17 teams at the event at +16. Host Pacific (276-263—539) is the frontrunner after the first two rounds with a score of -37 and hold a 13-stroke lead over UC San Diego (281-271—552) and Colorado (276-276—552) going into the final day of play.
 
The Bison will wrap up the final round of play at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational on Saturday morning. Round three is slated to tee off at 9:30 a.m. CT.
