It’s Ryder Cup season, so buckle up cuz we’re about to try some of this Elijah Craig Ryder Cup edition. We need some cups, glasses, some Glenn’s if you will. This Elijah Craig small batch limited edition slimage uh brought to us for the 2025 Ryder Cub. Look at that. Look how good my dishwasher did. Anyway, yes. Look at that. It’s got this cool gold coin on the top. What does it say? Says the Ryder Cup. Wow. 2025. No way. Who would have thought that the dunk Ryder Cup 2025 edition Elijah Craig small batch Now this isn’t just this isn’t just any Elijah Craig small batch. Okay. Got juicy cork pop. This is probably one of the first times I’ve seen an Elijah Craig small batch finished. This one here is finished in or with toasted sugar maple staves and applewood staves. Wow. So, I’m kind of excited to see what this bad boy tastes like. Now, if this video is dropping at the right time, which it should be, the Ryder Cup just started. Let’s go. In fact, today is the Ryder Cup. Good luck, everyone. Yeah, good luck to the American team. I do like a couple of the European players as well. May the best player win. We all know who the best player is. Okay. I don’t know many of the players, but I could imagine what it would be like if I did. I can imagine what it would be like if you did as well. That being said, can I just say really quick, golf to me, like it’s kind of amazing. I mean, all sports are are crazy, but like these golfers, they have to they have to have their swing just right. They have to be on just right for every single move they make. Like it’s a lot of pressure. You can make or break it. Yeah, it’s a lot of pressure. Like I I’ve tried golfing. We’re We’re working on getting better at golfing. You’re better at golfing. I’m not that good. But you’re better than me at golfing. Like you’ve got more golfing experience. That’s not saying much though because I’m really not that good. I’m just saying it’s hard like Yep. It is. And I’m a sports person. Like I played sports my whole life, but I think golf is hard. Yeah. Especially at that level, it’s extremely diff difficult cuz you have the pressure. It’s a one-man sport. Like it’s just you. Only you can carry that football. You got the other fellas on the team to help carry you across the finish line. Yeah. All if you ain’t hitting right, you’re losing. Yeah. Or if you like tweak just one muscle or I don’t know. Yeah. This smells fantastic. This really does smell fantastic. It’s got a really sweet, beautiful note to it. Yeah, you definitely get the bright fruit, the sugar, maple toasty smell on the nose. Now, I wish I would have poured this like 15 minutes ago to give it some time to just, you know, air out. But this uh bottle here is to commemorate the 2025 RDER Cup as we’ve said. And it is going to be at Beth Page Black. I don’t know where that is. See how little I know about golf. I know a few golf courses in a few places. I’ll look it up. But Beth play Beth Paige Black. I don’t know that I’ve ever heard of it. We’re going to change that right now. Um yes. commemorate the RDER Cup with this limited edition Elijah Craig small batch. I knew it was in New York because it says that it’s uh kind of an ode to the big apple. The state tree, but I didn’t know where. So, it’s an old Beth Page New York. Oh, the state tree is actually the sugar maple. Our fully I’ll just read the whole thing here. Our fully matured small batch bourbon is finished with toasted sugar maple and applewood staves. A fitting tribute to the tournament’s localal. The sugar maple is the state tree of New York and Applewood represents the big apple. Cheers. Elijah Craig is proud to be named the worldwide supplier of the Ryder Cup. Cheers. That’s interesting that this is the worldwide supplier of the Ryder Cup and there’s 750 mls. So that means there are also 700 ml bottles out there floating around. What do you mean? Europe requires 700ml bottles. Oh, interesting. So a lot of companies have switched to their limited edition or uh smaller batched things to 700 mls. Like all of the Jack Daniels 10, 12, and 14 are 700 milliliters. Wow. instead of 750s. Would you look at that? Look right at it. I I mean, you definitely get the apple. Yeah, that’s definitely apple. Like a bright green apple. Yeah. And it’s like that smoked smoked apple, sugar, vanilla, maple, some spices, cinnamony, all the spice and everything nice, you know. Mhm. She’s going for it. Didn’t even cheers me, but she’s going for it. I did say cheers earlier when you read cheers. But we didn’t cheers, so I don’t get it. What was the proof on this? This one’s only a 94. It’s the regular small batch proof. It’s really nice. It’s like nice and sweet up front. kind of a little bit of pop of spice in the middle of the palette. You get some of that oak. Is it toasted? Yeah, toasted. A nice smooth finish. It It drinks a little higher than 94 proof to me, but yeah, it’s got that spice you’re talking about. Yeah. Makes it feel like uh might be just a touch proofier, but wow, that’s a nice one. That’s really good. That is something that I mean anybody could enjoy and and sip on. Like the sweetness is so great. The apple comes through on the palette. The finish is super bright. That’s good. Little bit of spice. A little tiny Kentucky hug. Nothing crazy. Yep. Oh, we haven’t even opened this one yet. The OG. Just the regular small batch. Elijah Craig. We’ve never even tried it. No, I think we had one. No, this is the only one we have. Oh, we have tried the toasted barrel finish, which is also 94 proof. But this one’s toasted, so doesn’t really doesn’t really help us. Also smells delicious. Wow, this is really good. And I think for something like this, obviously they need to make something that can, you know, meet a lot of different people’s pallet needs. Um, I’ll be interested to see how this opens up. Yeah, I can’t imagine. I’m sure it’s going to get a little sweeter. The apple’s going to come through a little bit more. It’s really nice for 94 proof. I’m kind of impressed. I am, too. Yeah. I like how you, like you were mentioning before, how it’s only 94 proof, but it’s got this spice that kind of gives you that higher proof feel. Yeah. Which I dig. It’s got a nice long finish, too. And it’s I’m not getting any like bitter flavor, like too much of that bitter oak that you can get sometimes on the finishes. Like it’s super smooth. I am getting a little bit of drying, but not anything crazy. Like initially you get that sweet uh fruit note, the apple, the spice and everything like that. So then and everything nice. Yeah. Yeah. Like I said before. Did you? Yeah. I said exact same thing. Yeah. Right after you mentioned all the spice and everything. Sorry that I said everything nice. Absolutely nice. Yeah. Sorry guys. Sorry for the repeat there. But it’s true. So it’s true. You know we don’t we’re not lying here. We’re just uh But then as everything calms down, it kind of dries me out. Yeah. There’s a little drying at the end just towards the end. Mhm. In the finish back end. Other than that, absolute perfection. I would drink this while watching the RDER Cup. I would as well. You should as well. Give it a try. Where can you find these? Well, this is the last bottle. Oh. That uh you could have gotten at 78. Don’t let that deter you from stopping by to see what else they have because they’ve got great things. Let me just tell you, but you could probably stop, check out your local liquor store.
