DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women’s golf graduate student Andie Smith has been listed No. 7 in the initial LPGA Collegiate Advancement Pathway (LCAP) ranking system.

Announced in July, the newly developed program creates a direct route for top collegiate golfers to enter the LPGA’s system of professional tours. Epson Tour status will be awarded to the top 10 players on the Final LCAP Ranking powered by WAGR.

Smith, a native of Hobe Sound, Florida, has earned 858.83 points through Oct. 8.  Stanford’s Megha Ganne leads the way with 1286.84 points.  In two events this season, Smith has carded a tied for sixth and tied for 23rd ledger.  She is coming off helping Duke tie for first as a team at the Windy City Collegiate Classic with rounds of 73, 70 and 69 for a 4-under, 212.

The ranking will follow a two-year cycle, concluding with the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Individual Championship and will include results from collegiate and non-collegiate events recognized by WAGR. The ranking will update weekly each Wednesday through the 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Individual Championship.

To maintain eligibility for the pathway and its benefits, a player must maintain amateur status through the publication of the Final LCAP Ranking powered by WAGR. If a player turns professional, she will be removed from the LCAP Ranking powered by WAGR.

Duke will next compete in the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational Oct. 17-19 in Chapel Hill.  It will be contested at the Finley Golf Course.  Both Smith and the Blue Devils are the reigning champions of the event, both individually and team.
