Dos Pueblos girls golf continued to roll through the Channel League with a victory over Oxnard High on Thursday at Glenn Annie Golf Course.

The Chargers, who are undefeated on the season at 14-0 and 6-0 in league play, shot a 222 to finish ahead of the Yellow Jackets’ team score of 268.

The Dos Pueblos duo of Celeste Alcaraz and Dani Hickman led the way, earning co-medalist honors with their score of 41. 

They were followed by fellow Chargers Bella Sebastian (42), Angelia Pagliaro (46), Sophie Ralston (52) and Ceci Soberano (56).

‘Today was a really fun day, starting off with celebrating our seniors,” Dos Pueblos head coach Dan Choi said. “We are so grateful to Angelia, Dani and Sonia for all the joy they have brought to the team over the years. We are very lucky to have such great role models for our younger golfers.”

Santa Barbara High 250, Pacifica 296

The Dons cruised to a league win over the Tritons on Thursday at River Ridge Golf Course, a par 35.

“This was a team low score on the season and it was the first time we had four golfers shoot in the 40,” Santa Barbara High head coach Ryan Throop said. “Their persistence and determination each day at practice was rewarded today.”

Sage Malmsten led the Dons’ effort with a strong score of 43 on the day.

Meanwhile, Kaya Ziets (48), Cecilia Duarte (49), Hannah Mahboob (49), Charly Crane (61) and Camryn Quinn (63) rounded out the team’s golfers.

Santa Barbara High (4-11, 2-4 Channel League) will take on Carpinteria High on Tuesday at Saticoy Golf Course.

Ventura 215, San Marcos 222

The Royals dropped a close Channel League match with the Cougars on Thursday at Buenaventura Golf Course, a par 34.

“The girls played great all around and had a fun round,” San Marcos head coach Sarah Ashton said.

Despite the loss, San Marcos’ Mia Rocha pulled in her 11th medalist honor of the season after shooting a match-best 38.

She was joined by teammates Chloe Bellamy (41), Simrin Singh (42), Cana Spieker (47), Karenna Saleh (54) and Hadley Schmidt (56).

The Royals will take on Nordhoff next week for a non-league matchup at Soule Park in Ojai.

Carpinteria High @ CCL Match

The Warriors placed fourth out of seven teams at the fourth Citrus Coast League match on Thursday at Saticoy Golf Course in Oxnard.

The Warriors shot a combined score of 265, finishing behind Nordhoff (236), Hueneme (255) and Santa Paula (256).

Jamaica Cook’s dominant senior season rolled on as she shot a 38 to pick up her seventh medalist honor in a row.

The other Carpinteria High golfers were Sophia Garay (48), Kiana Kiah (54), Sarah Hayman (62) and Gaby Cruz (63).

“We were short-handed once again but persevered,” Warrior head coach Craig Cook said. “Jamaica really has been locked in the past few weeks and is playing some of the best golf of her career.”

Carpinteria High will compete in its next league match next Thursday at Olivas Links in Ventura.
