Carlson Clubs

When battling against heavy odds the chances of success seem all but impossible. However, throughout history there are a few examples when the underdog battled against great odds and survived or was victorious.

Scripture scholars tell us that in the year 1021 BCE fifteen year-old Israeli shepherd David slew the Philistine giant soldier Goliath. Military historians note that in 61 BCE during the Battle Of Watling Street in the Midlands of England, Roman Governor Gaius Suetonius Paulinus, with just 10,000 legionaries, defeated Queen Boudica’s force estimated at over 200,000 killing more than 80,000 Britons and crushing the rebellion.

And just within the last decade sports fans were amazed when the NHL’s Las Vegas Golden Knights, in 2017-18, became the first modern-era expansion team from any of the four major sports to win their division in their inaugural season and make a playoff run into the Stanley Cup finals (which they ultimately won in 2022-23).

Jon Carlson is the owner / CEO of a new fledgling putter manufacturer based in Grayslake, IL – a company with a mission to compete with the giants of the upscale putter market. Milled from a single billet of high-grade 303 stainless steel, Carlson Clubs putterheads are then assembled with the customer’s choice of grip (pistol or jumbo) and shaft length (33”-38”).

Carlson currently offers four models of putterheads; all four models are heel / toe weighted, toe-hang, with the shaft mounted at the heel with a plumber’s neck hosel. Given a 2-degree increment choice, Carlson customers can select a lie angle of between 68-74 degrees. The face angle of any of the four models can be milled to the customer’s choice from 1-degree to 5 degrees.

Furthermore, making his putters more than just a tool but a statement as well, for an additional fee, Carlson will custom laser etch any of his putterheads with any artwork to produce a one-of-a-kind statement of individuality that sets it apart on the green, on display, or alongside thirteen companions in your golf bag.

Carlson’s putterheads can be etched / engraved on the top, back, sides, and bottom sole; if desired, vibrant colors can be added to the engraving to achieve maximum visual “pop”. Jon’s skills are akin to a tattoo artist on metal, not skin, and his putters are a fusion of personal identity and performance. Looking for a less expensive personalized golf accessory? Jon will etch a stainless steel ball marker made to your custom artwork.
