ERIN, Wis. – With a 3-under par during Tuesday’s final round of the Marquette Invitational, Brandon Schmidtke placed sixth at 4-over at the Golden Eagles’ three-day tournament hosted at Erin Hills Golf Course.

Marquette finished sixth as a team, moving up three spots on the final day with an even par. The Golden Eagles’ final round was the fourth-lowest round of the week for a team.

Schmidtke’s play was pivotal on Marquette’s final day as the junior’s bogey-free 3-under 69 was tied for the second-lowest round of the tournament.

Ryan Banas picked up a Top 20 finish, placing 19th at 9-over. The junior shot an even par 72 during the final round.

Clemson captured the tournament title at 20-over par. San Diego State’s Tyler Kowack was the individual medalist at 2-under.
